Prince Yao

   “FUCKin’– you ASS!!” Yet his voice isn’t FULLY angry, he’s simply moving his hands into fists defensively in front of himself and rather close to his face ; a rather reddened face. “You could at least TELL me if you’re gonna KISS me, dammit!”

“But what is in the fun with that?”

“Oh, no, almost no one from home has left, so it really is all just boring things..” She shrugs. “I enjoy writing all kinds of things, there are kids at home that like hearing stories so I thought I would go out and find some for them.”

“I see...” He begged to differ, but Ling wasnt in her situation was he? “Well that’s good! I hope you can write stories so those people will be more than a memory.” Didnt the saying go like this: a lot of people through out history say the scariest part of living is being forgotten after they are long gone from this earth. They hope to leave a legacy, a myth, a simple story to be told through out the ages so they still have a footprint on this earth. It was quite poetic. “Come tell me the general plot of the stories you have so far.”

   “It’s an American territory, the state of Pennsylvania; quite a cute place if I do say so myself. The seasons transition rather beautifully, here.”

“That is definitely a possibility,” He said as he scanned his surroundings. Something felt off but he left it to nag the corner of his mind. Ling shook his head a bit before turning his attention back towards the other male, “I see... does the country also have alchemy?” He asks since maybe if it does, it isnt so far off from his world.

“Hello there~!” He waves at the brand new face, “I haven’t seen a lovely face like yours here before. Am I lost?”

It wasn’t very often that strangers attempted to talk to Asu. Confused; he stared at the stranger for a moment before pulling out his notebook. He turned to a page and held it out to the other. On it was a list of various languages, below each was the same sentence written in the language listed “I’m mute, I can only reply with sign language or with this notebook.”

He titled his head intrigued on what the other was doing until he was greeted with the notebook. OH! He gestured asking for the pen, and when retrieved, Ling circled the languages he understood and drew a little heart for the boy. He then wrote in his own penmanship “Hello! It is lovely to see you~ I’m sorry I dont know sign language.” He stopped for a second thinking before continuing to write, “Would you mind sharing your notebook until I get my own? I’ll get you one too of course as payment.” He smiled before gesturing for the other to obtain his pen back.

  “Why don’t you kids just start up big bonfires in the middle of parks anymore? Those sorts of things were always fun to clean up.” 

“Why thank you! It’s Xingese~” He smiled. “Aw, and he got his hopes up as well... Greed is bored,” He whined a bit before chuckling. What an interesting fellow. I wonder why I havent seen him around. “I mean i could, but knowing something would happen and the park would probably be burnt down.”

“I have a few stories from home, though not many are very interesting. I haven’t been out for very long, at least - I‘ve not met anyone who’s let me write about them yet..”

“Oh? I mean everyone is interesting in their own way,” He chuckled. “Wait! There are many people’s story in which are fascinating to hear. Well depending on what kind of story you’d want.” Ling meant in... genre. He mentally shrugs. A lot of stories from the people around him are bitter sweet to a degree...

“Hello there, hun~ Are you looking for something?”

“Yea, I’m looking for somethin’!” They responded obliviously. “Do you know the area well enough to help me out?”

They are cute when flustered Ling thought before answering, “Why yes I do~ What did you need help finding?”

Finally, someone willing to help! They’ve been wondering around Amestris for so long.. They digged through their pockets before pulling out a picture, the image showing a building named ‘The Devil’s Nest’. “I’ve been gone from home for so long… I want to find my way back home, but each time I ask about this place I get ignored. I don’t know why..”

“Oh?” he leaned closer to the photo, “I believe i heard of the place and know the general area. Isnt it in…..” he leaned back and tapped his chin, “Dublith?” He tilted his head a bit. “Was it Lust who told me or told Greed who told me?” Ling pondered for a second. “Well I dont remember exactly but we can go and find out~”

“You know Greed? How? Did he survive-?!” They questioned, pausing before letting go of Ling and apologizing. They don’t believe that he knew Greed! This means they can see him again..! They quickly shoved the picture back into their pocket then grinned from excitement. “Really? You’ll show me the way home..??”

A bit of shock flew onto Ling. “Yes and no?” He took a second before speaking once more, “I don’t know if the Greed you are looking for is…” Ling didn’t know if he wanted to rip off a band-aid. Especially when the Greed inside him actually doesn’t remember the past Greed-self’s life. “I dont think he’ll be at the Nest anymore, but I can definitely show you the way there.”

“Oh.. If he wouldn’t be there then there’s not really any reason to go back…” They mumbled then let go, backing up a little with a sigh. “Thank you for being willing to help me though.. It means a lot.” The chimera let out a small huff, rubbing the back of their neck awkwardly. “I’m sorry I got that way.. Oh wait, what’s your name? I forgot to ask-”

He looked down, “I’m sorry, hun. It is no worries.” Ling patted the others head and thought about something for a little big almost missing the question that was asked. He looked up and smiled. “I’m Ling Yao. I don’t think I caught your name~”

  “if you’re itchin’ for a good jab up your ass, just try to imagine what a METAL fist feels like.”

“I’ve had far worst things hurt me~ Try a little hard with the threats, hun.”

“Okay Okay, let’s go get something to eat and we’ll see where we go from there. i still have plenty of money left over from my research grants.” He sounded hold up a hand while chuckling. What was going on? what was he doing?  “There’s a nice little place Al and I used to go to a couple blocks from here when we were stuck in Central all the time,” 

Score! A date and food! So in the end, he still got both of what he came for~ “Take it away, hun,” he said as he waited then followed Ed out of the apartment and onto the street. “I would love to go there~ I’ll follow your lead,” He replied happily waiting for this meal wishing it would come sooner.

“Oh?” he gave a challenging smile, “Prove it, pretty boy.” Did Edward forget that he did kind became emperor of his own country after the whole ordeal? He had plenty of money to spend now. He mentally chuckled before becoming amused. Did the prince just reverse psychology the blonde into taking him on a date instead of he himself taking the blonde? Who knew how cunning he was. Ling himself didn’t.
