Nihilist Blues

Damn that’s a good idea, now I’m wishing I would have thought of that. It is fortunate that it happened during winter, people don’t look too much at a hat in cold weather. 

I’m not especially vain but my hair’s gotta be right. It’s like the main thing on me I’ve chosen to actually care about. Very true. Although baseball caps are acceptable in Summer.

Sebastian rolled his eyes  “ stop making it sound ..” He stopped himself  “You know what never mind if you won’t at least admit something is wrong, I will do the same every single time I am dealing with something”

Flint shrugged and folded his arms, “Okay? Good f’you. Y’know that doesn’t make me wanna tell you anything even more, right?” 

   “It seem like the opposite,” he said as he held back his friend and waited for the cab that he had called. “How about a slumber party?” 

Realizing he wasn’t going to be allowed to go back he leaned against Alec. “That sounds really gay.... so naturally I gotta say yes.” 

Looking at the man folded his arms “ When it comes to some of my closes friends no I don’t, especially when I can feel there is something wrong!” He replied honestly as he looks at the man.

“I’m fine. Just let me enjoy myself, for Christ sake.”

“ Flint you are always stubborn, If I  asked you this when you were sobber you would have shut me down just as quickly if not quicker”

“You really don’t take hints, do you?”

He nodded  “ Okay next time you are worried about me I will remember that I honestly don’t know why you feel the need to be so stubborn!”

“Because I don’t remember where I asked for your input. I’m just trying to fucking enjoy myself.”

“ Okay but don’t think I am going to be letting this go because I won’t, there is something going on with you!!” He replied firmly looking at the man.

“  Okay, what if you were really worried about me, also if you mean what you said, when why say yes twice and why hesitate?” He asked as he looked at the man folding his arms. “ Okay, when the fuck have you ever told me anything.” He questions as he looks at him

Flint rolled his eyes before cupping his hands around his mouth to amplify his voice, “Because I’m drunk! So this is not the time to be having this conversation.”

“ Because let me see hmmmmm…………… I have been your friend for year nows, if You knew something was wrong with me, and I kept brushing it off.. would you really let  it go?”  He questions looking at the man

“'Til you wanted to tell me? Yes.... Yes. I would.” Flint shot back, voice raising enough to get a couple side glances. “I’d respect your fuckin’ boundaries. This,” He gestured to Sebastian, “is the quickest way to make sure I don’t ever tell you shit.” Not that he ever had. He had always been deeply private, changing the subject anytime it touched on his personal life.
