Hey, I’m going to -seriously- ask some questions here, and I mean no disrespect.

I’m a downright evil clan. Really openly. There is not a single thing my clan does that is on the morally good side of things, except giving allied clans gifts. We’re mostly lawful evil on the spectrum, maybe a little neutral evil sometimes. But we do all sorts of torturing, slaving, raids, etc. 

I’m aware that the slave trade is something that is going strong today, and it’s really fucking gross. I guess my confusion is that I’m not sure where the ‘line’ is for ‘glorifying’ it. I definitely do not want to do such a thing, but I am having trouble figuring out how much is too much.

Like, I wasn’t sure what the problem with the above post is. I thought it was pretty clear it was in an RP, in-fiction sort of thing. What about this in particular is glorifying slavery? Is it the last sentence of the big paragraph? I’m just not sure. Because they’re clearly talking about their clan specifically in the few sentences before it.

It really confuses me when people try to draw a lot of direct parallels between social issues in the frverse and our world - it's a completely different fantasy setting and issues we have here don't necessarily have to be reflected there or seen as having the same implications. It's a different history, a different culture, etc. If you want to play them as similar, you're free to but not everyone will see it the same way.
