Remember a few weeks ago when haters tried to separate them by shipping Pond with some girl?

Following their Me And Thee After Party, Phuwin had to immediately leave for the filming of Scarlet Heart TH, which was to take place in Chiang Mai. He was to remain on that filming location for about 10-11 days (?), while his friends got to travel between Chiang Mai and Bangkok due to their flexible schedules.

Phuwin is a sociable person, and he loves hanging out with his friends. When he needs a 'recharge', he chooses to spend time with his friends, goes to hang out with them, etc. He was on that SHTH filming set with not only one of his best friends, Fourth but also his super close senior, Tay. From what i understand, he shares a friendly rapport with everyone in gmmtv, and he also had his childhood friend, Prim there with him. Despite being surrounded by friends, and not working much (his role is fairly minor), Phuwin was obviously incredibly bored and listless.

He did a live on Tiktok, which has historically been a rare scenario, and just before he went live, Pond had been live on Tiktok as well, talking to his fans about how he wants more cp events, he enjoys cp events, please if anyone can hear him please hire pondphuwin for a cp event. (I'm not exaggerating in the slightest.)

Phuwin was so bored, he changed his pfp on both twitter and instagram, which, again, is a historically significant moment. He was so bored, he found Take Me to Church by Hozier. Pond and Phuwin both recorded Tiktok reels, Pond was under the camera, Phuwin was looming over it. But let's not dwell on what happened during these days of seperation anymore. Because 3 days in, Pond visited the Chiang Mai filming set with Gemini.

Till now, I've only managed to tell you about 90% of the introduction to this post. The background has been established, and i believe you can draw your own conclusions even without knowing all the social media and instagram song choices on Pond's posts (😉) details. Let's stick to facts, right?

The fan gathering on january 30, 2026, was organised by pondphuwin themselves. They both had solo schedules that day, Phuwin had 2 events, in fact. They talked to each other about how they wanted to make this gathering possible and meet all their fans, and then they promoted it through social media. Pond told all his fans at Central World mall to come to the gathering later as he was wrapping up his event there.

Central World let them use the space for gathering, and even posted pondphuwin content on social media because they're sweet like that<3 Also, they totally love pondphuwin and are looking forward to the wedding omg who said that. The gathering was massive, as you have probably already seen and heard. Around 3000 people were present, not to mention those of us who were just online waiting for ppw to show up.

Now here's the things that i would like to highlight:

1. Phuwin telling Pond that he was very lonely up there all alone. Pond makes his work more fun, he said. He clearly missed Pond very much.

2. Phuwin saying Pond is someone he trusts, and someone he can give his heart to. Pond said in response that "I've already given my heart to you." He's said this before, but during a fansign event when a fan asked Phuwin what Pond got for him for his birthday. Pond had replied, "Gave him my heart." There's a clip of it on the internet.

3. During his Haeir even before this fan gathering, Phuwin was asked a question about sleeping alone with the AC on, and how it makes people cold. Phuwin said, "Yeah that's why I need someone to sleep with me. Not gonna say more than that!" He's very funny. Ha. Ha. Just putting it here because it is relevant.

4. A reminder: pondphuwin don't do fanservice. They're very strictly against fanservice in their relationship. They would rather delete all their social media than post one photo where they're looking "too shippy". Pondphuwin want their fans to know that whenever they say something to each other, do something for each other, it is one hundred percent authentic and has nothing to do with any kind of service. (Except maybe faenservice, am i right?)

5. Pondphuwin hugged each other a lot and said they missed their fans, they missed each other, they miss working together. They were very sweet and soft. Phuwin, after maybe days, was glowing with pure joy. Pondphuwin don't hug, generally. They're the kind of cp who made a decision about how much they wanted to touch in public because they didn't want those fanservice allegations, and so we rarely see them touch. But all the clips from this event, and all the photos are almost all of pondphuwin with their arms around each other.

6. Concerning the visit to Chiang Mai, Pondphuwin revealed that actually they had planned to go to the temple and do merits together, and when they made plans, Fourth wanted to join, and then Gemini wanted to join, and then Perth wanted to join, and then Santa wanted to join. But unfortunately that day, Phuwin and Fourth and Perth had filming so Pond and Gemini had to go alone. We love a planned date.

I think this is mostly what i wanted to talk about. It was a very emotional day for me, in a good way. I love pondphuwin, and there's no one who deserves this love and attention more. I get a little bit angry when I see a hater, but like Phuwin said, haters are kind of funny because whatever they say is so illogical it's hilarious.

And i think, i guess what i really mean to say is that pondphuwin were not obligated to do this. They did not have to make a fan gathering happen. They're not promoting an ongoing show, they're not getting paid for this, they're not required to sell their relationship as fanservice. But they still choose to work together and appear as a couple again and again and again. They make that choice again and again because they love each other, they miss each other, they love what they've created together, and they're proud of how far they've come.

And when Phuwin says things about giving his heart to Pond, and when Pond reciprocates those feelings, it's less about fanservice than it is about the simple fact that their relationship has always been more than friendship. It is about the fact that when Phuwin said that Pond is someone who is not his friend, not his faen (boyfriend), but something in the middle which he doesn't know how to describe, it's about admitting that friendship was never a label that could contain them. They are very different people who met each other under unique circumstances, and they had to build a friendship upon their very explosive romantic and sexual chemistry on-screen and off-screen. They were never like normal friends! They can't be. And that's beautiful, that's a choice. It takes courage and honesty to realise that some labels that society puts on you don't apply to you. They are very aware that their relationship is so much. so MUCH. that it spills into the romantic category, often. They're very proud of their friendship but that's not a definition of who they are to each other, and if it is, then it's a severely limited one.

Let me put it this way. I really like the ocean. However I don’t think it’s a good thing for the ocean to flood inland destroying ecosystems and villages because some of the natural hills that kept it at bay have been mined away. Me building a dam to keep the ocean away to bring back some of the natural barrier that was lost isn’t me trying to destroy the ocean. It’s me keeping the ocean out of my goddamned ecosystem where it isn’t meant to be anyways.

And the assumptions underlying this, more or less, break down to:

Everybody is secretly bad deep down. They're born that way (no, this is not original sin, wdym, it's just an Honest and Realistic assessment of human nature!) and have to be taught to cover it up through childhood with facades of politeness. Everybody is lying all the time by pretending to be better or nicer than they really are, and this facade takes active effort to maintain. When the effort drops and the facade slips, the true underlying rottenness shows through.

All actions taken are rational and reasoned, at all times. Lying is always a deliberate, purposeful action meant to advance a person's aims and goals. There is never any reason to lie except to make yourself look good. Therefore, any good or nice statement or action may be a lie, but any bad or harmful statement or action must be true.

Ergo: anything a person (or a character) says or does when in states of emotional extremity, overwhelming grief, incapacitating pain, exhaustion, illness, head injury, is Peeling Back the Facade of Goodness to reveal the True Rottenness Underneath. So not only are you actually as evil as the evil character, you're also a liar.
