a dark joke maybe that was another thing they were use to. but ultimately it was a joke. barry looks down to his grandson his sunny locks falling as he does. bart allen. there was a lot of things barry has seen already in his fated life. different universes, futures, past, a whole time stream. but if someone we're ever to tell barry that one of his late-children would leave him with their legacy... well, that was more amazing than anything he has ever seen or heard. one last thing from a life he thought he could happily run away to in the future.
barry puts his hand affectionately through bart’s curly brunette hair. that touch brings him into a hug. an amused yet warm chuckle leaves barry. it wasn't always easy for him to be joyful. not since he resurrected - coming back to a world that had continued to spin without him was hard. lives have long played out where he was just a memory. he had to pick up the pieces and run. bart was a lot like his grandpa. he is back in time where he wasn't even a memory. just had to dig those boots in the ground and run his race. to also pick up these pieces in a time that wasn't his. maybe some of barry really was hereditary after all.

well if it wasn't his favorite little guy. barry turns on his heel to greet his red-headed nephew. instantly a friendly stance was taken. he takes hold of the bracelet now holding it within his palm like fine jewelry ... thumb strums along the side of the beads gently rolling a few of them along the string that brought them all together. red and yellow - very on the nose with those colors. rotating it he could see the letters come together : ' UNCLE B' it said.
barry laughed and had wide eyes played into his smile. surely any positive reaction from his uncle was as animated as a cartoon. ❝ whoa ! look at this. ❞ he remarked. a zing of bewilderment at the end of his tone. ❝ here, slip it on for me. ❞ in few moments the bracelet was carefully put onto his wrist. it seemed to grate against his watch ... and so barry's solution to this was to instantly cast away his watch. this bracelet from wally looked much better than sterling silver.
he raised his wrist upward looking at it once more over then to his nephew. a grateful smile was on barry’s features that only became empowered when meeting his nephew’s eyes. ❝ wally, this is great. ill wear it til the string breaks so you better be ready to make me another one, you hear ? ❞
