We have an offer for a SUV for $600. The man selling says it has parked for quite a while and not driven. He is putting in new battery, brakes, tires. He will make sure its road worthy so we can use it right away.

If you didn't know, $600 is a steal for a used SUV or pretty much any car. I have not been able to find a used vehicle for under $6000. Since we live in what is considered a resort area due to the beaches, the cost of everything is sky high.

We really need a vehicle asap. We no longer have transportation, so this is a must.

The only issue is that the SUV is higher off the ground, so we need to figure out how I can get in it. For $600 It's worth it.

We have the opportunity to buy a used SUV off of Daves friend. He's holding the vehicle until we can get the money to buy it.

We NEED the vehicle. Our van has officially died and it cannot be fixed. There was a cascade of break downs of parts that we cannot afford to fix much less keep up on. All the original parts were breaking down.

All money we raise will be going to buy the SUV. We are no longer bothering with the van.

It's official. The van is dead. It broke down and cannot even be jumped. We no longer have transportation.

We need a "new to us" Mini van asap. I cannot get to my doctors, specialists, and physical therapy any other way.

We live in a rural area. In fact, our house is surrounded by farmland on three sides. There are no taxis. We can't afford Uber, and I don't trust them. I can't get down to the bus stop because there are no sidewalks to push me in my wheelchair.

My anxiety is through the roof. Even though I knew the van was on its last leg, it doesn't make it easier.

A mechanic look at my van today and gave us the news we knew was coming but didn't want to hear. My van is dying and cannot be fixed in order to be road legal. That means it will not pass inspection. He said to keep getting temp tags until I can get another vehicle. Mind you, it's not safe as it is.

Every temp tag costs me $20. I have already spent $120 on temp tags alone. Regular inspection only costs $40 for 1 year or $80 for 2 years. There's a $20 late for for past due inspections.

We need a reliable safe van asap. I have had to reschedule 3 doctor's appointments multiple times each due to transportation issues. I haven't been able to get to my physical therapy appointments in 2 months because of this. I am still dealing with a rotator cuff injury.

I am so fed up with this ongoing migraine.

Van Drama Continues...

The van is still not inspected. We were only able to get a 30 day tag. This stupid hunk of steal has been nothing more than a nightmare that keeps getting worse.

I just got a call from my youngest. Now the oil is leaking all over the motor and it's smoking. The only problem the van hasn't had, an oil leak, has now suddenly developed one.

I'm fed up with putting money into the van to keep it barely running. We need another reliable and safe mini van. If we didn't live in such a rural area and I wasn't disabled, I would just haul off and junk it. I am that fed up. In fact, I am so fed up that I am close to saying, "Screw it!", and junking it anyway. It not like we have reliable transportation anyway. Who care if I miss my doctors appointments and medical tests.

My daughter just called me back. She is now stranded. The van won't run. Now I have to find a way to get her home and the van towed. I don't have a damn dime to pay for towing.

The struggle continues. Due to the food prices being so high, I am unable to follow my doctor prescribed diet. It's either I eat for two weeks and my family doesn't or I buy the cheapest food, ignoring dietary restrictions, and feed my family for two weeks. I cannot afford separate meals. I live on a fixed limited income. I can't play around.

I have been informed that our van has new problems that have surfaced since my youngest broke down on the side of the road late night on the 4th. I cannot keep trying to fix the van just to try to keep it running when there are constant problems popping up. BTW... It still hasn't passed inspection. I was only able to get a 30 day temp tag this time instead of a 15 day one.

We need a better van. My health is poor and I see several doctoral specialists. Three specialist I have had to reschedule my appointment for this month three times now.

We live in a rural area. There are no taxis at all. I have learned that there is a bus but the stop is too far away to be pushed down the busy road in my wheelchair. There are no sidewalks around here.

Due to my disability and very limited mobilty, it both easier for me to get in and out of a mini van and a mini van will fit my wheelchair in the back.

The need in s very real and becoming intense.
