everything i hear about new season just keep getting worse and worse

daily reminder that jude did figure out that she can pardon herself and come back from exile, but she just thought that cardan was so mad at her that it couldn't possibly be true

i wanted to watch the cruel prince fan movie, but i'm a book purist, so if everything isn't just like in the books i think i would go insane

i saw someone talk about how stupid of taryn it was to make cardan and his gang a promise to not help jude since she was a mortal and promises were not binding to her and not break it and yes, that was terribly selfish, but it also shows so well in how different ways taryn and jude want to find their place in elfhame. jude uses her mortality to her advantage: she often makes promises, folk believes she will hold them since she was raised between them, but she either breaks them or twists them. taryn adapts and wishes to blend into elfhame: the folk cannot break their promises, so no matter the fact that she can do it, she won't.

holly said that valerian hated jude because he desired her, but honestly i don't see it. like yes, we have that one fragment with him staring at taryn's curves, but none of his actions indicate desire for jude for me?? every time, he went straight for the kill. even with the whole fairy fruit situation, he was trying to choke her with it. valerian strikes me as a person that in this kind of situation where his victim was powerless and he was in a group and would truly sexually desire someone inferior like jude, he would just assault them and instead it was nicassia ordering her to undress and then crawl and lick her hands clean. i more believe that he simply loved to be cruel and jude was the perfect victim because she was mortal, the whole group hated her as well and with her constant fighting he had a reason to be cruel.

in my head taryn and cardan were able to become friends that often bicker with one another and i don't give a fuck what holly black says.
