Hellow! If you follow me you have seen pieces of this in progress, but this is my submission for the Hoenn TCG redraws!

I was honored to be the artist for Kyogre as he's my favourite version legendary from this generation. I love whales and orcas and I think Kyogre is so so sick. I always loved using him on a thunderdance team in Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness and sweeping everything away with thunder and surf.

I chose Primal Clash because I love how joyful he looks and I wanted to give painting water a try. I love big glassy waves and I'm obsessed with water in general so I felt like something that captures both the embodiment of the ocean + the water itself would be nice. Plus look how cute he is!!

And yes, I did this in oil paints partly because I wanted the practice but mostly because I'm a crazy person.
