Well, in short: Honorato could only truly turn into a human if someone stabbed him in the head (there are other details, but I don't remember them now) while he was sleeping in snake form, but obviously, nobody accepted that. It was on one night that a young man, brave and fearless, accepted the challenge, and thus, Honorato became what he admired so much: no more snake, just another human man.

The people believed that the Moon was a powerful god. He would shine his brilliant light on the mortal world, in the hopes of charming human women. If a woman happened to fall in love with him, and he deemed her worthy enough, the Moon would have her live with him in the sky as a star.
Naia, the daughter of the chief, longed to become a star. While her people slept, she stayed awake through the night watching the Moon. When the Moon still had not chosen her, she began to walk after him each night. He was too fast for her, so Naia climbed the highest mountain in hopes of catching him there. Alas the Moon still proved out of reach. She climbed down the mountain and wept at her fate.
As she walked past a large lake, Naia saw the Moon’s reflection waiting there for her. Thinking the Moon had come for her, she jumped into the waters and was not seen again. The Moon heard of the sad tale of Naia and felt pity for her. For her devotion; he turned her into a star, one unlike any in the sky. From the depths of the lake appeared “The Star of the Waters”, the giant water lily.
Brazil has a great sociocultural diversity. Among indigenous peoples alone, there are more than two hundred distinct groups, each with its own traditions, languages, and customs. There are also indigenous groups who have very little or no contact with our society, known as isolated tribes.
Now, Brazil is a very mixed-race country, as is well known due to its own history, so there are several cults that were brought during the period of slavery, such as religions of African origin (Candomble, Umbanda, Jurema, etc.) that developed from the African diaspora in Brazil from the 16th century onwards.
Candomblé: More faithful to its African roots, focused on the worship of orixás (entities of nature). Another type of cult that is rarely discussed is that of the indigenous peoples. Brazilian indigenous beliefs are a vast and rich collection of stories and traditions passed down through generations by the various indigenous ethnic groups that inhabit Brazilian territory. Each tribe has its own pantheon of gods, spirits, and entities that explain the origin of the world, human beings, and natural phenomena, and much of this information is passed down orally.
The Indigenous Gods, while most information was erased due to indoctrination or kept it a secret, are as it follows:
Tupã: Thunder God of the Guarani people
Tupã is one of the best-known deities in the mythology of the Tupi-Guarani people. He is often described as the god of thunder and lightning. Tupã lives in the clouds and manifests his presence through storms and thunder.
According to Guarani mythology, the creation of the world began with Tupã and his wife, Jaci (the moon), descending to Earth on a ray of light. Together, they shaped nature and gave life to the first human beings. Tupã is seen as a paternal and protective figure, but he can also be feared for his ability to bring storms and destruction.
Jaci: The Moon goddess
Jaci, also known as the moon goddess, is a revered deity among the Tupi-Guarani peoples. She is associated with the night, fertility, and love. As the wife of Tupã, Jaci plays a crucial role in the creation of the world and human beings. Yet, in other stories, she is also the wife of Guaraci.
In mythology, Jaci descends to Earth every night to illuminate the world and guide lovers. She is frequently invoked in fertility rituals and wedding ceremonies. The moon, in its divine form, is seen as a symbol of beauty, mystery, and renewal. She also makes hunters returns to their families.
There's also a story where she would take the most beautiful girls to be her companions, thus turning them into stars to make her company during nights.
Iara / Yara / Uiara - Water Goddess
The legend of Iara has many variations; some believe she is the sister of Tupã, the goddess of the waters. In popular folklore, Iara was an ordinary indigenous woman, but beautiful and talented, and her brothers, envious of her, plotted against her life, but she emerged victorious over them and killed them.
Because of this, she was cursed by her father, the village shaman, to be transformed into a mermaid due to her transgressions. She seduces and kills fishermen, attracting them with her song.
Amanaci / Amana-manha - Rain Goddess
Amanaci is the goddess of rain in Tupi-Guarani mythology, known as the "mother of rains" and protector of springs. She is frequently associated with the frog, which sings during the rains, and it said that her voice speaks through the frogs.
Guaraci: The Sun God
Guaraci is the sun god in Tupi-Guarani mythology and is the brother of Jaci. While his sister illuminates the night, Guaraci illuminates the day, bringing light, warmth, and life to the world. He is seen as a benevolent god and essential to agriculture and the survival of indigenous communities. In other versions, he is married to Jaci.
It was said that, first, only he existed. But the sun was so bright that people started praying for a rest without the light. Then, Tupã, hearing them, created Jaci and night started existing. It is said that when eclipse happens it's just Jaci and Guaraci having little meetings on the sky.
Ceuci: The Mother of Cassava
Ceuci is an important deity among the Tupi-Guarani peoples, associated with agriculture and, specifically, with cassava, which is a staple food for these communities. She is often described as a maternal goddess who taught humans how to cultivate and prepare cassava.
According to legend, Ceuci sacrificed herself to provide food for humanity. Her body transformed into the cassava root, and her stories are retold in ceremonies celebrating the harvest and abundance. Ceuci is a revered figure for her generosity and her vital role in the subsistence of the tribes.
Korubo: Thunderstorm spirit
Korubo is a feared and respected deity in the mythology of the peoples of the western Amazon. He is associated with storms, strong winds, and torrential rains. Korubo is often described as a powerful spirit who controls the climatic elements.
In mythology, Korubo can bring both destruction and fertility. The storms he causes can devastate villages and forests, but they are also essential for bringing the rain that nourishes the land. Rituals and offerings are made to appease Korubo and ensure that he brings beneficial rains instead of destruction.
Rudá: The Love God
Rudá is the god of love in Tupi-Guarani mythology. He is responsible for inspiring passions, uniting couples, and blessing relationships. Rudá is often described as a handsome and charming young man who travels through the skies on a cloud of flowers.
Stories of Rudá are recited in songs and poems during wedding ceremonies and love festivals. He is invoked to bring harmony and happiness to couples, and his blessings are considered essential for the longevity and success of relationships.
Anhangá - Underworld God
Anhangá is a powerful entity in Tupi-Guarani mythology, recognized as the protector of forests and animals, often described as a wandering, shapeshifting spirit. Although associated with the underworld or infernal territories, he acts as a guardian of nature, punishing hunters who exceed the limits, often appearing as a white deer with red eyes.
Ticê / Tisé - Sorcery Goddess
Ticê is a deity from Tupinambá mythology, known as the goddess of the underworld, darkness, and black magic. Her story portrays a powerful and feared figure, associated with sorcery and dominion over the dead. Once, Ticê used her charms to avoid being struck by the madness and death caused by the eyes of Anhangá, the deity of the underworld. Thus, with both able to look directly into each other's eyes, they fell in love and got married, and Anhangá took her to reign by his side in the underworld.
According to legend, Ticê was not born a deity, but a human of extraordinary beauty and great skill in the magical arts. From childhood, she dedicated herself to the study and practice of witchcraft, developing supernatural abilities that distinguished her from others, and was elevated to Godhood because of it.
Angra: The Fire and forgery Goddess
Angra is from Tupi-Guarani myths, she is a mythical figure who protects her tribe from enemies, feeding only on lettuce, which gave her strength. She is associated with fire and protection. The goddess is described as kind, yet explosive, symbolizing the intensity of the flames.
Caaporã - Forest Guardian
Caaporã or Caiporã is the brother of Tupã and Iara, son of Nhamandú. Her name means "inhabitant of the forest." She is well known in Brazilian folklore as a creature, not a goddess, who protects animals and the forest from anyone, including the natives themselves. Her loud whistle announces her presence.
Akuanduba - Harmony / Peace God
Akuanduba is the god of peace, order, and harmony in the mythology of the Arara Indians, located in the Xingu Basin, in Pará. He is known for playing a magic flute to organize the world. According to legend, upon seeing human disobedience, Akuanduba cast the tribe into the river, forcing the survivors to start over.
Yebá Bêló - Creator Goddess
She is a mythological figure from the Dessana indigenous traditions, known as the "woman who appeared from nowhere." According to legend, she is responsible for the creation of humanity and is said to have molded men and women from the coca leaves she chewed, called ipadu.
Sume
The goddess Sume is an important figure in the mythology of some indigenous peoples of the Amazon, especially among the Tukano and other ethnic groups in the Rio Negro region. Sume is often associated with the Moon and fertility. According to some versions of the myth, she is the mother of the hero twins, who are central figures in many indigenous mythologies of the Amazon.
In some traditions, Sume is also linked to the cultivation of cassava and the knowledge of medicinal plants. She is a powerful and respected figure, symbolizing the connection between the natural and spiritual worlds.

Nhanderuvuçu não tem forma. Ele é a energia que sempre existiu, antes mesmo do mundo virar mundo. Para criar o universo, Nhanderuvuçu destruiu tudo para começar do zero, com a criação da alma e, depois, a matéria. A natureza veio logo em seguida. Para cuidar dos rios e lagos, criou Iara, a deusa da água. Já para tomar conta do clima e do tempo, o todo poderoso Nhanderuvuçu criou Tupã, o deus…
Quando se fala de mitologia tupi-guarani significa os deuses, espíritos, criaturas, cosmogonias (mitos de criação do universo), antropogonias (criação da humanidade) e rituais de diversos povos tupi-guaranis (por isso a variação entre lendas.) Nesses mitos, a relação entre espiritualidade e natureza são comuns.
É difícil encontrar informações sobre esses povos e suas mitologias por terem uma cultura verbal e não escrita. A liderança espiritual desses povos é o xamã/pajé. Eles se comunicam com as forças da natureza por meio de saberes ancestrais e práticas xamânicas.

Cosmogonia:
Na maioria das lendas, o deus criador e figura primária é Nhanderuvuçú (Nhamandú/Yamandú/Nhandejara) e em outras versões é Tupã (trovão). Também há outras versões onde Ñane Ramõi Jusu Papa (Nosso Grande Avô Eterno) teria se constituído a si próprio a partir de Jasuka, uma substância originária (não vou elaborar essa versão nessa postagem).
Com a ajuda de Ya-cy (Jaci, deusa da Lua), Tupã desceu à Terra em um monte na região do Areguá, Paraguai, e criou tudo incluindo o oceano, florestas, animais, estrelas, etc. Então, o trovão (muitos afirmam que Tupã é o deus do trovão, mas é mais aceito que ele não seria exatamente um deus e sim uma manifestação de um deus na forma do som do trovão) criou a humanidade. Os humanos teriam sido criados em uma cerimônia formando estátuas de argila do homem e da mulher com uma mistura de vários elementos da natureza. Depois de soprar a vida nas formas humanas, deixou-os com os espíritos do bem e do mal e partiu.
No Ayvú Rapyta ("Os Fundamentos do Ser", compilação de mitos em formas de cantos sagrados dos mbyá-guaranis), há um mito descrevendo Nhanderuvuçú, essência ide Tupã Tenodé, por meio do Mborayu (Amor), gera Kuaray e o Grande Som, "que se põe a dançar e cantar na imensidão de Nhamandú e criando mundos através de seus cantos sagrados", realizando a criação como uma música e manifesto na forma de um pássaro colibri.

Antropogonia:
Os humanos originais criados por Tupã eram Rupave (Pai dos povos) e Sypave (Mãe dos povos). Eles tiveram três filhos e muitas filhas. O primeiro filho foi Tumé Arandú, o mais sábio dos homens e o grande profeta do povo. Depois veio Marangatu, grande e bom líder do povo e pai de Kerana, mãe dos sete monstros legendários. O último filho foi Japeusá, considerado desde o nascimento mentiroso, ladrão e trapaceiro, buscando sempre tirar vantage, dos outros. Ele se suicidou se afogando mas foi ressuscitado como caranguejo e assim todos os caranguejos foram amaldiçoados para andar para trás como Japeusá. Entre as filhas de Rupave e Sypave, estava Porâsý, que se sacrificou para livrar o mundo de um dos sete monstros lendários.
Os tupi-guarani também acreditam que vários dos primeiros humanos ascenderam em suas mortes, se tornando entidades menores.

Os sete monstros lendários:
Kerana, a bela filha de Marangatu, foi capturada pela personificação do mal, Taúba (Taubymana/Tau). Juntos, eles tiveram sete filhos, que foram amaldiçoados pela grande deusa Jaci, e todos, exceto um, nasceram como monstros horríveis. Esses monstros são:
Teju Jagua: Deus das cavernas e frutas
Mboi Tu'i: Deus dos cursos de água e criaturas aquáticas
Moñai: Deus dos campos abertos (derrotado pelo sacrifício de Porâsý)
Jaci Jaterê: Deus da sesta (período de descanso de tarde, geralmente depois do almoço). Ele é o único dos irmãos que não é um monstro
Kurupi: Deus da sexualidade e fertilidade
Ao Ao: Deus dos montes e montanhas
Luison: Deus da morte

Alma para os tupi-guaranis:
A alma é um conceito importante para esses povos. Para eles, a alma não seria exclusiva de seres humanos, mas sim de todos os seres vivos, tendo também múltiplas almas ao invés de só uma.
Para os Mbya, todos teriam 3 almas: uma ligada ao corpo, outra aos sonhos e outra ao espírito (nhe’ẽ). O indivíduo morre quando essas três almas o abandonam ao mesmo tempo. Acreditava-se que a alma do corpo (ãngue ry) representavam o lado ruim do ser, mas é mais correto afirmar que a alma está associada a desequilíbrios que precisam ser curados ao longo da vida. Quando o ser morre, essa alma fica vagando pela terra assim como uma assombração que precisa ser harmonizado e cuidado através de rituais. Diferente dessa, as outras almas partem para a vida espiritual.
