What a strange place. [OPEN RP]
Lucina followed Logy along, taking a step back out of surprise at the sudden train passing by. Her hand subconsciously went to the hilt of Falchion, but after seeing Logy’s reaction to the train, she let it go. If anyone were to ask her, she would admit that the train startled her. The only time anything passed by that fast in her time was when she was in danger somehow. Whether it was Risen, or whether it was a friend coming to her aid, it never seemed to be good.
She took a step closer to Logy, watching as he brushed his hair aside. She hadn’t really paid too much attention to it until now, but he did have some nice hair. Lucina pulled her own hair over one shoulder, looking behind her as if she were paranoid something was going to happen. Before long, Logy spoke up once more, directing Lucina towards a supposedly less crowded cabin. The sudden wave of people was almost alarming to her since she never expected something like that to happen. She quickly moved through the crowd, clutching her blade until she was by Logy’s side once more. Being thin and speedy did have it’s perks.
”..A-Are there always so many people like this..?”
The tone in her voice may have been mistaken for discomfort or nervousness, which she did feel. But most of it was confusion at how many people could fit into a cabin like this, and how they didn’t seem to mind any other people’s existence as they pushed and shoved their way inside.
The interesting thing about socialization was how people accommodated for their otherwise large spheres of interpersonal engagement. In the context of a busy subway or even a queue, people were much more willing to be near others without it feeling quite so intrusive. Under normal circumstances, Logy would feel cramped and uncomfortable. Yet with as many people as there were, he simply saw all this pushing and shoving as the inevitable norm.
"You get used to it!" he said, perhaps not as reassuringly as he could have. Logy gestured towards a nearby handrail, indicating that Lucina should hold on if she found herself at odds with her body's inertia. He let out a chuckle as the train began to rumble before smoothing out to an even pace. Through the tunnels they went, illuminated by little more than service lights.
"At the station before ours, we should huddle near the door or we'll never get out." Hyperbole, of course. Hopefully Lucina wouldn't take him too seriously on that front.
Logy looked over to the other passengers and saw an elderly woman asleep on one of the seats. He had to wonder if she actually had a destination in mind or if she simply had no roof over her head. His good humor faded. "... I guess you'd find that in any city, large or small."
