Spending the early parts of her life in the world of photography shooting almost strictly close-up portraits, Jessica Farkas eventually got bored and moved on to shooting full-body portraits of dancers. Recently, she has gotten bored again, and found she was missing shooting in the studio. This is how her latest body of work, a series of projections, shot in studio with designs being projected onto models, came to be. It is a perfect mix of her previous bodies of work, blending portraits with beauty, and creating something that is uniquely “Jessica”.

Focusing on musicians, this series looks into the life of a band, bringing the viewer inside their world and along on their journey.

Yael Gamson's current project consists of a series of photographic portraits of transgender men and women posing alongside their biological siblings. Through intimate portraits, this project explores the idea of gender conformity and the preexisting bias on the matter.

Focusing on fashion and beauty photography, Kait Robinson creates stories using color, graphic lines and clean compositions. Her softly lit subjects are often engaged with the viewer, lending a sense of strength and intensity.

Karina Voitioulevich’s work plays with the idea of creating a new persona and atmosphere through color, pattern, and everyday objects. 

In my years of studying and shooting I have found a strong interest in photojournalism or just simply documentation. For the past few years I have been shooting live concerts and working with the bands that perform. To me capturing the moment and working with the fast paced action is the most enjoyable. There’s so much that goes into a performance and I aim to show it all.

As an artist working in new media, Cathleen Owens touches on various overlapping themes including the relationship between modern communication, multimedia experiences and privacy. Heavily influenced by the work of Alex Bag and Jayson Musson, her goal is to deliver artwork in a way that is universally easy to digest but also creates discourse on a serious topic.
