Heâs trying really, really hard to keep himself distracted by the terrible music booming through the large speakers and the noise of the obnoxiously incessant chatter of a drunken couple seated nearby but his attempt still has come to naught because the prickling feeling of annoyance and paranoia remains heavy under his sickly pale skin.
He thought he could peacefully have a drink or two at the bar when the place caught his attention half an hour ago but it seemed like that was just asking for too much. Sitting just next to him is a woman who has been stealing glances at him every now and then since she arrived. Normally Dabi wouldnât have minded the attention seeing that he has gotten used to the sight of his scars earning him a few turned heads but this is just getting ridiculous.
This chick already got a good look at him so why is she still eyeing him?
A fight between two inebriated men had broken out mere minutes ago and Dabi doesnât plan on following their footsteps by initiating a brawl of his own. Instead of giving her a skin-searing threat, he sighs and downs his drink before finally turning to her direction with a bored frown surfacing on his scarred featuresâ his vision somewhat blurry from intoxication.

Idle chatter swirled in dirty clouds of smoke and for a brief whiff , Aphrodite was certain he detected the faintest notes of sick tainting the air . Needless to say , this didnât reach the standards of his usual hangouts , but heâd visited worse , much worse , in the past and so the skull rattling music and brawls breaking out around him went predominantly unnoticed . It was all worth it for that one server who mixed a mean Peach Daiquiri he couldnât get enough of recently .
Alas , drinking on oneâs own was a dull affair and a man had to glean his own entertainment in these dark times . Lucky for him , a most enticing point of interest materialised soon after heâd entered the establishment; A young man sporting the most intriguing sense of style , or maybe , Aphrodite simply enjoyed shiny things -- Like the hoops anchored all over his face that caught the spotlightâs reflections every so often , inviting his gaze to keep returning and returning until eventually , he was called out on his staring .
