Tiete tetra - is a member of the Brycon characins family and is native to Paraíba do Sul River basin in Brazil, South America. It inhabits rivers and sometimes found in reservoirs. It is mostly a vegetarian feeding on leaves and fruit, with a few insects and small fishes. It can reach a maximum length of 36.9 cm (14.5 inches).
