First Kill

i’m so angry at first kill’s cancellation. okay it wasn’t perfect (due to their low budget too) BUT the two main characters were lesbians and one of them was black + their queerness was completely normalised and coming out wasn’t the plot. this show was so important!!

it's not even the tv shows themselves at this point it's the fact that almost all of our current wlw representation has been cancelled. we're currently facing the threat of our rights being taken away so we find comfort and happiness in shows where we're represented and they get taken away too. it makes me so fucking angry and so fucking sad at the same time, and I just feel defeated

first kill getting cancelled when it was a hot topic is not only homophobic but also racist. 

the take that “some people just don’t like vampire/supernatural shows” is such a blatant fucking lie when it comes to first kill’s cancellation, as if netflix’s most popular shows aren’t also of the same genre (ST, the witcher)
