I’m so goddamn mad that oil companies have known climate change is real for decades and did everything to stop people from acting on it. I want to burn their offices down. I want to throw their CEOs into a fucking pit. The world is being destroyed because some filthy rich fucks saw the end coming and figured making money off it was better than saving it. That’s pure evil, plain and simple.

We honestly need to be more aware of how we use language that demonizes and stigmatizes psychotic people in our day-to-day language. I can say as someone who has struggled with psychosis that I have felt demonized in social justice spaces due to ill thought-out word choice.

honestly if what you mean is uncaring, manipulative, evil, harmful, or violent, then SAY THAT WORD. if you aren’t talking about someone who is prone to experience distorted reality then you don’t mean psychotic. conflating psychotic with evil does so much harm to a vulnerable group.

“Schizo” is also one that gets thrown around without regard to actual schizophrenics a lot
