The more I research art history, the more I see old masters exploring the same topics they like again and again, which helped me to realize that coming back to favorite motifs doesn't really count as being stuck in a comfort zone if I keep finding new approaches to it. Recently I'm being drawn more and more to art nouveau pattern examples books and their composition arrangements; this gave me an idea to try to treat my own sketches as "tiles" of sorts, pieces of puzzle I can play with to arrange a new composition. And it was indeed a good composition challenge, figuring out the balance of it all. And well, it felt good to play around with some of my fav topics & symbolism, which are: Hildegarda and Messmer but make it abstract and sensual, rooted in Hades & Persephone imagery, with Eve & The Serpent undertones, howtoshowintimacythroughabstractshapes, sprinkle it all with Ouroboros and stars. Yay
