the grown up niran who knows pete is depressed and lonely to the point he doesn't want to get out of it. he has made peace with his loneliness. he is always so so tired and that realm must feel like a place where he can finally sit for a while without Doing anything

I know there are many ways that can explain a depression and we don't always have it the same way. However, the way Niran was talking really reminded me being depressed. It felt like he was saying the words I believed at the worst time of my depression. It's the words of someone who lost hope.

Niran has been looking after something that never really happened (the way he wanted it) and it started to eat him up because he couldn't reach it. He felt lost, he ended up an outcast from his people and felt very lonely. Worse than that, he has always been warned that he would never be able to become what he wanted. He tried and tried, but it never worked the way he expected. In the Life Spirit Realm he felt like he could just stop running.
