⚓Fins & Flintlocks
A crew of professionals. Allegedly.
Welcome aboard the WestBound Nautical Trading Company.
This is the official Tumblr for Fins & Flintlocks (FiLo), a stylized historical, character-driven webcomic set in a world not unlike our own; following the complicated lives of a trade crew as they navigate contracts, cargo, and each other.
It’s a story about power, gunpowder, and the sort of people you wouldn't trust with either.
Updates begin 2025!

⚓FAQ (brief):
Q: When does the comic launch?
A: It's planned for sometime in 2025. But I'm a university student at the moment, so things may change. Follow to stay updated!
Q: Can I ask questions about the world or characters?
A: Yes, absolutely. Use the ask box!
Q: Is this set in our world?
A: No,but it’s close! It’s an original setting inspired by 18th–19th century global trade and politics.
Q: Who’s the main character?
A: It’s an ensemble cast. Everyone has their own mess and their own moment.
Q: Are they monsters?
A: No. In this world, all races (regardless of appearance) are considered human. Some have gills, tails, fur, or scales, but these are just variations of humanity, not monstrosity. They think, feel, and live with the same depth, complexity, and contradictions as anyone else and should not be considered less than.
