The main reason that I want bottom!finn is because it is SO UNDERRATED.  Have you seen his butt and thighs.  Think of virgin Finn experiencing pleasure in every way from Poe after being repressed in that arena for so long.   He would love to experience receiving it too.

And as much as I love bottom!Poe, in my head, Finn and Poe give and take so much equally.  Finn is just so curious about every aspect of sex to ever restrict himself to any one thing.  And Poe, so loving and idolizing of Finn, would want to experience  all of Finn, both in him and surrounding him.  They would want everything from each other,and would give everything for them.

Why is it that so many fanfics that put Finn and Poe together pretty much make Finn entirely the caretaker in the relationship?  I mean, Poe is hot and adorable and sexy, but unfortunately that means he is constantly whomped on, the one comforted, the one bottoming, the one needing praise...

as if Finn has absolutely no issues of his own that he would bring to the relationship.  Like a lifetime of conditioning is easy to break off or wouldn’t have an effect on him.  Or that he is somehow more of an expert than Poe on sexual matters, or that Finn is treated like he is the mature one despite the fact that Poe is canonically over seven years older than him with a lot more outside world experience
