Wow I have NO idea how old this is, sorry, but I can give a sorta answer here. I haven't seen Syd's live but I've seen Gabby twice. I think Gabby's Al is a little quieter, a little more reserved and contemplative and soft (her Ring of Keys especially is a lot more of a quiet and amazed realization rather than Syd's power ballad style) and Syd's is more outgoing, a little more confident, kind of playing it like a kid that's living an excited life punctuated by little realizations rather than Gabby's introspective take. They both have spunk and life but to me Gabby kind of aligns better with Beth and Emily's grown Als and I love her a lot.
