Finding Hidden Mickeys

A teapot and set of teacups in the explorers’ camp bears a sharp resemblance to Mrs. Potts and her teacup children from Beauty and the Beast. When Tantor sees them, he is scared that they may come to life. Terk responds “Pull yourself together. You’re embarrassing me. These things aren’t alive.” In Beauty and the Beast, of course, they are.

Did you know? There is a hidden Nautilus in the queue for Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid. The Nautilus carving is a tribute to the ride that used to occupy that same expansive space, 20,000 leagues under the sea.

Disneyland’s 50th anniversary by Thomas Kinkade

there is one in the rock work behind the mine train, several near belles cottage, several inside be our guest, several around the little mermaid area, and some in story book circus! 

Just found this on BuzzFeed. I didn’t even know some of these and I have an Annual Pass (*note: Some facts are partially incorrect, not fully explained, and/or outdated check the comments for more).

In “Pomp and Circumstance” in Fantasia 2000, after the rain stops and the animals step out on the deck of the Ark, you can see Mickey and Minnie Mouse standing on the roof.

So I went into the newly designed interactive queue line and saw a large above ground grave that read “CAPTAIN” at the very top.  It said something about him being allergic to dirt so they buried him in something else.  His limbs were hanging out of the top along with his sailor hat.  The tomb was leaking from every which direction and you could hear the captain’s ghost mumbling a sailor tune from within his watery grave.  I turned on the flashlight on my phone and searched the entire tomb for a ring  and finally found it fixed into the pavement to the right of the captain.  The story is that Constance Hatchaway married seven wealthy men but murdered each one with an axe for their fortune.  She no longer needed the ring so she threw it out the window of the Mansion’s attic where she currently resides.  The ring is commonly mistaken to belong to Madame Leota.  Constance Hatchaway was based on the story of the ghost of the Brown Lady of Raynham Hall.
