Many people would claim that the first member of the cookies of darkness would be pomegranate cookie. Many people would be wrong. The first of the cookies of darkness was you, found by dark enchantress years and years ago. You had been traveling all of earth bread for different types of knowledge, yet never satisfied with what you found. Dark enchantress saw a glimpse of her self within your curiosity she couldn’t tell if she felt a sense of kinship or disgust. 

She offered you a place amongst her circle, a means to learn all the magic within this world and beyond. You were skeptical at first, who wouldn’t be? But, ultimately, you took her up on her offer. 

Her understanding of magic was great, but yours was greater. She inquired as to how you knew so much. You revealed to her that you were cursed. Cursed to live forever, to watch all those you come to love crumble. That you had angered the witches, and this was your punishment. While you do wish to end your own suffering what you want most is to free cookie kind from the reign of the witches. 

Dark enchantress had asked you if you were willing to do anything to get that wish. You claimed that the soda oceans would run dry before you stopped. She decided then she glad to see herself in you. 

You worked with her to devise a plan to end the witches and humans once and for all. It was only a few years later that you showed her the ultimate cookie recipe. She liked the idea but noted the power it required. You easily dismissed the notion by reminding her of beast yeast and how the ancient heroes only ever had half of their true power. 

And so your plans fell into motion. The revival of White Lily, the seal breaking, Elder faerie falling. You smiled when that old king took his last breath, he was the only one that would’ve given away your identity if he ever saw you. Though you would miss his debates, the tea he brought to the spire was always your favorite.

When it was time to create the doughs for the beast you demanded nothing but perfection. Any dough that was even the slightest bit deformed was cast aside to the wastebin. You claimed that if the bodies of the beast needed to be in prime condition, that if the doughs were sloppy they would retaliate and not work with Dark Enchantress. It was all true, at least most of it was. 

The other cookies of darkness didn’t like that the heroes were only growing stronger with their run in with the beast. You simply stated that this was all according to Dark entantress’ plans. It was enough to shut them up. It was when the war started you restless. Not from fear or doubt but anticipation. You drew the magic circle around the island and in the castle. Dark enchantress trusted you with such given your knowledge and time spent with her. Of course you did your task diligently, it was the magnum opus of this whole ordeal. The climax of what you have been building to.  

Silent salt’s betrayal wasn’t much of a reveal to you, you had learned about it long ago. Turning the Faerie library upside down trying to find a way to reverse it. You were banished from the kingdom when Elder faerie learned of what you were doing. But he wasn’t around anymore to stop you.

When Dark Enchantress took on that profane form you started your last act. The magic circle you had provided was complex and powerful, but it had a major weakness. While destroying it or deactivating it was near impossible, redirecting the magic was as simple as drawing a few lines. It was something he taught you all those years ago. Late nights rambling on an on about magic formula, picking apart debates or magic circles to figure out how they worked. You missed those days, but it didn’t matter. Those days would be back once again. 

Finishing the small correction you watched with glee as the life powder and energy instead flowed to it’s rightful owner. The binding of silence broken with a manic laugh from your wonderful jester. Darkentantress looked to you in disbelief. “You..You! You fool, You insolent conniving snake! Do you have any idea of what you have done?!” Dark enchantress bellowed. You had to cover your ears from the sheer volume of her voice. Even then, it didn’t stop the manic grin that spread across your face. 

“Indeed, I do!” you say, spreading your arms out before taking a bow. “The greatest twist known to all of cookie kind! Taa daa~” Standing upright you shook your head. “Though i cannot take all the credit, i must thank you Dark enchantress. You played a marvelous fool!”   

With a roar of what sounded like betrayal and rage Dark enchantress raised and brought down her hand, no doubts in an attempt to crush you. You didn’t even flitch as the hand came down, stopping mere feet away from you. The rush of air almost threw you off balance but you were quickly caught by an arm wrapping around your waist. Dark enchantress’ hand was brough back, blue string bound tightly against her wrist. 

“Tsk tsk, you compliment her on her performance and she does this as thanks? Critiques, you can never please them am i right?” Shadowmilk asked before placing a peck on your cheek. “And you, you did amazing! If i didn’t know any better i’d think you were trying to take my spot at lead actor. I wouldn’t mind though, you would look so great on stage.” 

Dark enchantress screamed in rage as she tried to free herself. Shadow milk only sighed. “Can’t even let a cookie have a reunion with his love. Alright my little star, how about I take over and get this final act rolling. After curtain call we’ll have a proper meet up.” 

You simply nodded in response before giving a quick kiss on the cheek to Shadowmilk before he warped you away.
