Considering the references to Shadow Milk's and readers relationship to Magica Madoka, why don't we expand it a little. You know how at the end of the series Madoka becomes Ultimate Madoka, how about that with reader or similar to it. I think it would work very well as in some posts you mentioned in what if every timeline we die, similar to how Madoka dies in every reset of the timeline. What if reader was just someone who managed to defy their fate and became a sort of powerful being or something equivalent to a powerful god because of the amount of effort it took to do so and saved Shadow Milk from our timeline (Madoka making her wish). But as a result, we have to exist outside of our timeline as we are a powerful being and the only one who can communicate is our Shadow Milk (even better if Shadow Milk was the one who made us powerful in order to save us). What do you think about the reaction of Ultimate Shadow Milk because I would see trying to pull something like Homura capturing Madoka after becoming a witch/demon.
Speaking of Madoka, I did write a short drabble already based on Rebellion's ending.
Perhaps you could have been a powerful force outside of time before those events...Shadow Milk certainly wouldn't let you remember. If you remembered, you'd break the beautiful lie he made for you, and you'd slip out of his fingers again...! He can't let that happen.
I simply ADORE Madoka Magica. I think a really good story beat would be having everyone be safe and sound, the emmisarries and the ancients getting along, truly peace among cookie kind. Except for one factor. We do not, and have not ever existed. or at least to everyone else. What no one knows is the sacrifice we made, the ultimate decision of saving everyone but erasing us (at least our mortal cookie form) from existence. Can you IMAGINE shadow milk, now the sage somehow learning of this and DESPERATLY either trying to find a way to bring us back or at the very least have someone confirm that you were real. Can he even call this a 'Happily ever after' when learning the truth?
