This idiot that won't leave my braaaaain, he's just so interesting! He's never really opened up on screen, but with a bit of analysis you can know him so well... also this got very long :)
He's clearly got a superiority complex(extremely insecure but masks it with an egotistical act, I've mixed up that definition so much before), he looks fuckin exhausted, his weird attachment shit with male role models, the lack of friends, fucking Charlie Tango Foxtrot, how much the woodscouts seem to mean to him, and also his crush on Gwen? Doesn't really seem like a crush? Cause like, it has the vibes of the way men flirt with women to show off to their guy friends, y'know? Clearly raised in a conservative family which values strong stoic men, and of the three he is only one of those things 0_o
He's like a scraggly stray cat who wants to be loved but keeps scratching people when they get close imo :)
He's so insecure, and he fears opening up about his struggles, and he's so ambitious, and he seems so lonely. Only a few friends which he still maintains a distance with, a strong drive which can fuel self-loathing with every failure... uggghhHHGgHHGgH pulling my pigtails out frfr :(
Also the way he's treated by a lot of people and the fandom is so weird, like they don't understand he's a child. The amount of people saying they thought he was an adult despite being way shorter than Gwen, with acne, braces, and a higher pitched voice is insane. I'd say 15 AT MOST. He's clearly a teenager, but Gwen and David don't seem to realize this? Or they know but they treat him like an adult and don't notice it? Something like that. Well, they're not good counselors anyways so idk. Regardless, the adults in his life have clearly failed him. Why is no one watching him?? Someone puhlease take care of this 13 year old.
Also him leading his troop by himself? No adult supervision? What's with that? Like, what happened there? I've been doing some research(read: going down unnecessary rabbitholes about the boy scouts and military boot camps) and I'm trying to figure out how the woodscouts organization would legit work... why are there 3 kids by themselves in a summer camp!? Call the actual organization and I'm sure they'd fix that real quick (no idea what would happen exactly tho please tell me it'll influence my opinion and idk what to look up anymore for answers) but they're not doing that... or like anything to lead to that... and they drive around in a van and Pikeman goes to town for medicine (from the vet tho cause y'know... big pharma) and they're just like, living there, doing whatever they want... idk man, it's weird. They hired Daniel, I just- idk, it seems like they very intentionally keep it on the downlow so it's just them there for summer. Why. They could be with an actual group of woodscouts, with a troopmaster, doing woodscout shit (which Pikeman def seems to care about), but no... perhaps it's the leadership? Senior patrol leader is a role selected by voting among the scouts, and considering it's Pikeman... he'd very likely lose that in a new group. Or perhaps he struggles with legit woodscout stuff? Idk man, look at them pipe cleaner limbs... he's just looks so easy to bully...
