Am I the only one perplexed by this storyline of Valentin being behind Pikeman? Or being Pikeman? I am confused. When did he become so vile? Was he really like this all the time? Was the whole story with Anna and his revulsion of Victor an act?

While I do appreciate the unexpected turn of events (I mean I didn't really see it coming) some of it doesn't make sense.

The part that gets me is his cavalier attitude about Dante being shot. Dante is Charlotte's stepfather and if memory serves me correctly, she is very fond of him. Plus Rocco is her brother, who she is also fond of.

Valentin's one saving grace has been his love for his daughter, so did he not think of her feelings when shrugging his shoulders at the shooting of Dante?

I get that he hates Sonny, these days, who doesn't, but his family is intertwined with Sonny's not to mention what Anna will think when she learns the truth.

This is one of a few stories that has me scratching my head. I will admit that the storyline's these days have been exciting, but it's almost like the new head writers don't know who they are writing about.
