I guess I write stuff

like I mean this very seriously as writing advice. the character should experience events and make decisions that make them different at the end of the story. they should be changed. they do not have to be improved.

I FINISHED IT!! 6900 words and I nearly made myself cry several times but it's done!! I need to read through it for typos and stuff but it's basically done. Also it's going to have some funky formatting stuff so I'll need to work on that too.

It's up! I've queued up a cute actual post to announce it and whatnot that will post this afternoon, but it's up on ao3 now!! I can wash my hands of this hyperfixation and hopefully move back to the rest of the mountain of wips I should not have abandoned for a week lol

the theme of spiderman: brand new day being about non romantic love!! the ongoing throughline being that peter needs to not be so alone, that he needs friends. the way jean's story was about her sister. the way frank cried for peter, was soft with him like that, apologised like that because he cared about peter. the way mj's boyfriend doesn't matter at all because what matters is that she's ned's friend. the way the first person who remembered peter was his best friend, his oldest friend because of their special handshake. the way peter being bruce's friend was enough to snap him back from being hulk. the way peter being jean's friend so that she's not so alone is the entire reason we have an ending as happy as we do.
