for anyone who enjoyed my grandfather's sculpture-- some documentation of the tiny studio he kept in his garden shed. i took these photos in 2011 a few days before he passed away. the air smelled strongly metallic which is the scent I remember him for as he mainly specialized in metalwork, iron I believe? all the sculptures and paintings here are his own work but i'm not sure the timeline of them. it breaks my heart how little i know about him or his process due to the immense geographical space put between us.
