maybe you were put on this earth to be tender and loving during a time when you are expected to be cruel and calloused

y’know for me it straight up doesn’t even occur to me to unfollow someone when they stop posting whatever it is i followed them for. unless the thing they’re posting about now is somehow actually actively upsetting to me i just accept it as a part of my life now. i’ll just scroll past it like i’m driving a car and dodging an obstacle on the road. and that part of the road is my daily commute and the thing stays on the road forever and i swerve around it every day for months instead of ever taking the initiative to get it removed. it just adds flavor i guess

one of the best/funniest dynamics on TV is antagonistic best friends who insult each other constantly but are immediately in cahoots whenever there’s a whiff of shenanigans. nothing better than two bozos bickering nonstop as they execute the stupidest plan you’ve ever heard

maybe you’re just shitty in a way that has nothing to do with mental illness. maybe it’s not that deep and you’re just acting like a dick. it happens to everyone

two ppl with shared history is the bestest most delicious compelling dynamic in the world... exes. old friends. childhood friends. old friends who are no longer friends. decade long slowburns. multi decade slowburns. etc

my hot take is that you don’t have to love being single or love being alone. if you can’t spend a second in your own company there’s a problem, but wanting love and companionship is completely normal and natural. you’re not weak or mentally unstable for feeling lonely or yearning for partnership and friendship. we do need each other, we need community, we need love, it’s part of our dna to be social creatures.
