Everybody wants a piece of Maverick, asking about him all night but the newly decorated admiral is nowhere to be seen and he doesn't seem to be in a hurry to be found.

Viper pulls in a deep breath, and after a long beat, drops his hands to his own thighs. “Well,” He says. “Go ahead.” --- When Maverick gets promoted to replace Viper as the new Commander of Top Gun, Ice can't help but wonder what really contributed to that decision. More over, he wonders what he can do to change it.
