as ena is a mushi… they’re bond between the balance of both life and death. stated before mushi are living like people… but inanimate like objects. ena toes the line between these, which can make living for them dreadful. as they’re life itself, their existence is only known to those who are able to see them. but it can be worrisome, to see something that’s not alive and dead at the same time… although their form appears to be human, they cannot sympathize or feel like one. they don’t know what to feel, but rather wishes for others to understand they they’re here, just as others are… among humans, among the dead, and among other mushi like themselves.

ena is a mushi, visiting people and even luring people into a place unnamed… but has been nicknamed “elysium” to some. this is where dreams, red lanterns, and music are present… however, it’s a place that only exists for one night only to those who visit.
once you partake in the events that follow in there, the desire to leave will be ceased as you are entranced, there are some cases where wanderers dance forever.
encountering ena will usually be whenever it’s past midnight / festival drums are heard. they can present themselves as either a human figure, or in some cases as a trush. to take you to “elysium,” they would ask you to follow them as well as close your eyes.
ena is well known, for their love of festivals and momentous occasions… however, this makes people wary of their intentions, in some cases, seen as a cursed spirit for any mishaps that occur there. however, this isn’t the case, they would love to see the world dance and sing with the lasting rhythm.
a way to get rid of ena is by sugar mixed with saltwater that’s been doused on the ground. this is a common tradition in certain villages where festivals are held. they grow not accustomed to it and tends to move farther away from the village.
however, since their visits only last a night, which leads villagers who can see mushi to advise not to be near within them, they still can use the method to insure a speedy departure... however, this will make them appear more often after, to the point where it will be consistent even before midnight
