I really like the idea of Severus having a son — like, Severus surviving, right? We’ve got this AU where Severus survives, gets married, has a child. And he has this kid already in his forties, right? Well into his forties. So his son is Gen Z. And his son is exactly like him: physically his absolute fucking clone. But he knows how to make it work for him. Like, instead of getting depressed because he doesn’t fit conventional beauty standards, he’s like: I’m going to take advantage of the fact that I look like some fucking emo from the Tumblr era, because I know there’s an audience out there that absolutely eats that shit up, the same way people are obsessed with Timothée Chalamet and the internet has always loved pale men who look like they want to die, because there has always been a huge audience for that kind of look. And he’s going to exploit the hell out of it and become a star.

And meanwhile his father at some point just does not understand a single thing. He understands absolutely none of it. And he thinks his son is the most frivolous and superficial person in the world and is like, there is no way this person came out of my sperm, but clearly he did because he looks exactly like him, literally could be his twin. But the son is completely addicted to social media, and on top of that he knows he has an audience and knows exactly how to exploit it. Like, he knows how to dress, he knows the poses to do, you know? And the son even tells him, Dad, I genuinely don’t understand how you couldn’t have been popular in your time, because honestly people like us have it easy now. And Severus just understands absolutely nothing. Like, none of what his son is saying makes sense to him. It’s like they’re speaking two completely different languages. And of course they are, because there are basically three whole generations of difference between them.
