Grabbing a dishtowel, she swiped at the growing number of flies, as they followed Ruby. Her gaze shifted to the oven, her thoughts growing morbidly curious. Poisoning would certainly be less brutal than the past methods. Her nose scrunched, and she shook her head. That wasnβt Goodeβs style.Β
Once the oven timer had been set, she wandered out to the living room, which was seeming to shrink as it filled with their classmates. As her gaze drifted past the window, a shape moved out of view, and her breath caught. Slipping through the crowd, Sarah sidled up to Ruby, trying to remain calm.Β βHey, you... You didnβt invite Joey Goode, did you?β
