CWs: racial slur / derogatory term, talk of racism, heavy talk of religion and spirituality, anti-endo ideology.
to be honest I think there is no possible way to be anti-endo and anti-racist, because fun fact denying spiritual belief and equating it with “delusional” is rooted in racism, and fun fact spiritual plurals are very much plural if they want to consider themselves such.
I am Buddhist, and a very spiritual creature in general. My plurality, I attribute mostly to trauma- but not wholly. In my full belief, I think my being started as plural, and this inherently rooted in my spiritual belief. I also experience soulbonds and walk-ins— once again, tied to my spiritual belief.
I am also Indian (well- mixed mutt with several ties). I feel like my race and my spirituality are intertwined with each other on a deeply personal level, and to discredit my spirituality also feels to discredit deep cultural beliefs and even my racial identity as a whole.
When anti-endogenics say spiritual plurality is impossible “because science”— they are parroting the same racism ive heard for years about numerous topics. Why is it still so acceptable? It’s racist.
I see people say that science is just stone cold fact- but no science can accurately prove or disprove any spirituality, really. Not to mention, most antis are parroting western scientists, from western cultures, working in the western psych field, accredited by western institutions and universities… and I’m sure I don’t need to remind you what the west is know for, historically. (Hint; it starts with race and ends with -ism.)
To all plurals out there with spiritual beliefs related to their plurality, spiritual practices related to it, or plurals who just feel as if their plurality is influenced by their spirituality in any way— i see you. you’re valid, and you’re welcome, and you always should be. and this goes for white spiritual plurals too, btw— race was just a big motivator for me personally when making this post. all spiritual plurals have a place in the community.
