Hello this is Dora, a 26 year old insufferable crybaby from Budapest!
This is the blog to accompany my passion project, Feline Child. I chose this platform because I really miss the times where blogging and tumblr were a thing, before instagram became the main platform for artists and creatives to showcase their work. I am bored with the false perfection instagram is trying to sell us, I want the old tumblr vibe back. I want pictures of me crying and I want to overshare. I want to show you my work and at the same time give a little glimpse of the real me.
Even just seeing a cat makes me insanely happy, my favourite band of all time is Nirvana, if I look at a piece of clothing and it doesn't scream 'Mick and Marianne in the 70s' I simply will not buy it.
My work is always about nostalgia and the constant longing for the old. The chosen medium varies from time to time but my main thing was always textile arts. So as a person who can never decide on one thing and loves to miserably look out of windows all day I just started Feline Child out of the need to share more with the world. I use vintage materials and old forgotten pieces of clothing to make something new. I want to make clothing that makes you feel like you’re in a movie, or in an other era. Or makes you go run on a field full of wildflowers. Something extra but also affordable, costume-like but comfortable.
So from now on embark on a journey with me and follow this blog for inspirations, drawings, musings and to catch up with my new collections!
