[email protected] Felicia JAZMIN, also known as “feliFRESH”, is a Los Angeles based visual artist with a passion for music and a love for expressing the musicality of painting through the soul of a brush. The name “feliFRESH” was inspired by the legendary hip-hop pioneer Doug E. Fresh, who also shares her birthdate of Sept 17th. With a mother as a piano teacher and a father as a preacher, Felicia learned to play the piano and drums at an early age and grew up singing in church with her three sisters. Influenced by oldies, jazz, hip-hop and the like, they formed a singing group called JAZMIN Sisters. The girls appeared on shows like NBC's America's Got Talent and MTV's Top Pop Group, gained nationwide radio airplay of their single "You" and performed at venues like The Shrine, The Greek Theater, The El Rey and Staples Center for the LA Lakers and LA Sparks. Driven by gratitude to the producers, mentors and friends who played crucial roles throughout their career, Felicia began creating music-inspired artwork for their homes and recording studios. This collection led to her first art exhibit and opportunities to display her work. As a freelance artist, she began painting live for galleries, festivals, events and corporations like The NFL Network, World of Dance, Art Basel, Betsey Johnson, Target, Macy's, The W Hotel, Lollapalooza, Paid Dues Hip Hop Festival, Bloomfest, Downtown Artwalk, UCLA Jazz Reggae Fest, Crewest, S.O.terik, Project Ethos, Hold Up Gallery, Bang Gallery, The O Hotel, Diabolo Drinks, R.A.W. Artists and F.A.M.E., in addition to being featured in various music videos and publications. Her styles include Urban Art, Pop Art, Street Art, Fine Art, Acrylic, Graffiti and Mixed Media. Being a singer and a musician, Felicia paints the essence of visual music in every piece as she relates the blending of colors onto a canvas to the harmony of layering melodies in a recording studio. Representing a “fresh” generation of creatives with her distinct style, Felicia “feliFRESH” JAZMIN continues to push the boundaries of an artist by definition and aims to inspire dreamers everywhere through her story.
