Rusty feathers fell lazily toward the brick streets below as a man perched up on the top of a wall, seated with one foot on the top while the other hung off the edge. Face showed no signs of expression sitting a while longer before shifting around to hop off down back to the ground.

A full moon hung limply in that deep blue night sky twinkling dimly high up.

The streets were just as dimly lit with a few staggering lights here and there with as well some late night stragglers, some even stumbling around. Sharp gold irises watched from the shadows, completely consumed to the point of almost invisibility except he wasn’t invisible at all. Feet placed delicately against the ground to follow behind a slower of the bunch.

Movements dictated along with the other as lips retracted just enough for a swipe of a tongue. No, he didn’t eat human beings, don’t get the wrong idea. Though by this point that expressionless ebony-haired man had his eyes set on something else.

{ ♚ } Maybe it hadn't been such a good idea to sneak out alone at night.

At first, Oz thought it would be cool -- explore the streets, go to places that Gilbert wouldn't approve of, find places that he could take Alice to in the daytime. In his head, in his little perch on Gil's sofa in the little main room, it had seemed easy enough.

But now, staying off to the shadows as people too immoral to walk the streets by day roamed their territories, Oz was having second thoughts. Not that he was scared of his own safety of course. What need did Vessalius have of the night? The only real problem is that Oz had no clue where he was. Too many unknown turns have taken him far from Gil's little hole in the wall to... wherever he was now. 

A cold chill went up his back and Oz couldn't resist glancing back.. Was that person... licking their lips? And looking at him? Oh. Oh, no. That was not a good thought process, Oz. They were probably just thinking of something and glancing off to the side. Of course they weren't looking at you -- don't be so self-centered! 

Deep breaths. There. Oz squared his shoulders and continued to walk. Maybe he could go into one of the bars around here and ask for directions. That seemed like a plausible plan, right?
