The ending and openings having emphasis on Byakuya fighting alongside and having some kind of friendship with Hitsugaya and is so interesting.

The manga definitely had him develop deeper comradery with his fellow captains after he met Ichigo that grew over the series - becoming more casual and battle-buddy friendly with Kenpachi in Hueco Mundo, then being more familiar with Hitsugaya in TLA, and in TYBW being actually friendly with and kind of teasing both of them.

I like how much these moments in the manga hinted at about how he changed but also how the Gotei 13 as a whole changed. They aren't much of anything, but that the openings are kind of showing it a bit as well as giving a kind of preview of how they fight together could maybe be hinting at the show having some proper falling action?

a thing about me is i basically never notice a wig or other kind of hairpiece in tv/movies. it has to be party city territory for me to even twig it. people will complain about characters' wigs looking bad and i will nod along but there is like a 90% chance i did not notice for a second while watching. i consider this mostly a blessing.
