Sukuna’s favourite feature of yours would be your hair- he loves feeling the soft strands between his rough fingers, sometimes even burying his nose in it (though he would cut you where you stand if you said you saw him doing that), and would insist on combing and braiding it himself, something he’s surprisingly very good at;
The first time it happens, you think he's playing a cruel joke and would pull your hair right out of your scalp the moment you got too comfortable.
It's early in the morning, and since Sukuna wakes up at the crack of dawn every single day, he requires you to wake up with him too- mainly to attend to him, sit by him and listen to his morning musings, because of course he had decided you were intellectually worthy enough to be allowed a glimpse into his mind.
Not that you hated it- this was the only time you were sure he won’t cut you into pieces out of boredom, because he was too busy talking about whatever had gotten his attention. Mostly some piece of obscure literature from the West that he ordered (threatened) people to translate for him. His words were insightful and articulate, his voice deep and rich, so you found yourself actually paying attention.
The room is coloured pale blue, the fresh morning breeze turning the temperature colder but not enough to make your teeth chatter, when you take a seat in between his massive legs as per his command, back straight as he runs his hands through your hair first, feeling the soft strands before picking up a comb and starting to glide through it.
You jolt a bit, surprised by the gesture.
“Hold still,” he mutters, voice low and rough, but there’s no real bite in it. His fingers are surprisingly gentle as they comb through your strands, separating them with practiced ease. The motion is rhythmic, almost meditative.
You feel the tug as he gathers a section, smooths it, then begins to braid. The first few weaves are tight and precise, the kind of braiding that speaks of hands used to centuries worth of brutality now having found a new amusing toy to play with. A low hum vibrates from his chest- something between a purr and the growl of a beast that is devouring a particularly tasty meal.
“Your hair…” he says, almost to himself, but your breath hitches anyways “is the only thing that doesn't look grotesque clasped in my hands.” he says with a expression that looks as if this is the closest he has been to feeling contentment. Like this small ritual is the closest thing he has to peace. “But not fragrant enough. Are you not using the oils I had brought in from Misr itself? Talk about ungrateful.”
“I haven’t washed my hair yet Sukuna-sama…I will make sure to use a generous amount later.”
“Talking back to me… how cheeky.”
He finishes one braid, ties it off with an expensive hair tie made of imported silks (that he may or may not have ordered just for you), then starts on another. Every now and then his knuckles brush the nape of your neck, sending a small shiver down your spine. He notices, of course. The corner of his mouth twitches.
“Sensitive there, are we?” There’s amusement in his tone, but he doesn’t push. Instead, he puts a polished mirror in your hand, urging you to look.
You look at yourself and are a bit surprised. You... you actually look nice.
"This is...you are very skilled Sukuna-sama." you say with a smile as you turn towards him and he huffs, trying and failing to hide his preening.
"Of course I am. I am the King of Curses. Did you think braiding hair is above my skill?"
You shake your head, a soft blush tinting your cheeks "Of course not. Thank you... they look very nice." you grin before moving up and placing a kiss on his cheek, pouring your appreciation into the small gesture, and his eyes almost close before he catches himself and looks down at you.
"Bold, but you are in luck... I am in a generous mood right now." he grumbles, "Now prepare to break fast, I have things to get to."
And since that day, he brushes and braids your hair every morning, letting no one else touch it.
