Also just in general a lotta the content seems to be aimed towards straight cis girls in general even if stuff is gender neutral
Lotta stuff just feels heteronormative in general but that’s just me

so i heard that apparently some sharks can get possessive of divers giving attention to other sharks and i immediately had flashbacks to your mermaid fics
That’d just be so cute! I’m a fan of mermaids in any form, don’t get me wrong, but just imagine having these massive, predatory, tooth-infested beasts surround you, only to be pouted-at and aggressively nuzzled whenever your attention strays from your self-appointed mate. Whale Sharks are the most guilty when it comes to whining their way into your heart, but our average Corals and Great Whites are definitely the most vocal on the issue, even if the mood hits them more rarely. It’s needy, but I wouldn’t make a big deal about it. They are still apex-predators, after all. If they can’t fix the problem with affection, biting it away is always an option.Â
