for how immensely popular and culture defining the simpsons is im surprised ive never seen it majorly fandom-ified. i mean no doubt there are obviously people out there drawing simpsons yaoi and giving bart neopronouns but its not as widespread as the stuff people do to them southpark kids yknow. it could be. we could live in a timeline.

It is true that people in fandom equate top bottom with dom sub and probably mean the latter when they "headcanon" the former but I also think people need to be more open to the idea that D/s doesn't necessarily get indicated from personality either. Like for example a shy person who gets pushed around easily very well might enjoy having a dominant role with a partner they trust. That can even be affirming. For all its faults Tumblr has truly ruined all other social media for me because my friends all have Instagram and are all trying to get me on Instagram more but every time I open Instagram there are like fifteen things screaming for my attention and when I get over myself long enough to start scrolling it's like. Where is my chronological dash. Where is the following-only option. Who are these people. Why are there so many videos. Everyone is screaming at me. And then before I know it I'm thirty minutes into scrolling and I haven't seen a single thing that I actually care about. At least on Tumblr when I see stuff I don't care about I know someone I follow has found a new interest.
