Want a bingo card? Send us a logged-in ask or a message, and we’ll respond as soon as we can with your unique 4x4card. 

There are 163 separate prompts, and 120 cards. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. If you complete a blackout, you may ask for another card if we still have any left. 

If you haven’t read the FAQ, please do so before you ask for a card. 

Once completed, fills may be posted to our AO3 Collection or tagged on tumblr with #feanorianfunbingo. 

The first scenario is totally fine! They can be reborn and have adventures, celebrate, enjoy life, whatever, just not do the apology tour, or be constantly regretting everything. 

The second scenario is a bit more difficult. I would say not if they are thinking “wow I fucked everything up I am glad to be dead” but cool if it’s more along the lines of “no everlasting darkness, that’s good, and oh hey I get to see dad again.” 

(Say that five times fast! :D) 

When does it start? 

On the 7th of July, 2018. We will put up a post declaring it open, then you will message us and ask for a card. You can then post your card on your own Tumblr or journal.

When does it end?

Well, that depends on your definition of ‘end.’ It is in part an actual game of bingo, so the first one to get to bingo (4 prompts answered in a row, column, or diagonally), will receive a prize graphic and the right to boast. 

But that’s not all! There will also be recognition and prizes for those who black out their cards, the one who writes the most words, and the one who creates the most art.  

It will end when people stop posting, pretty much. There will be occasional roundups posted to this Tumblr so you can see who’s participating and go have a look at what everyone else has been doing. 

Can we use these prompts as part of other exchanges/fests as well as FFB?

Sure. Whatever gets the inspiration going! 

Who counts as a Fëanorian?

Only Fëanor, his sons, and Celebrimbor, for this event. You may certainly have other characters in the story / art, but at least one Fëanorian must be the main character to qualify. Many of the prompts specifically will be about the family relationships between the Fëanorians themselves. 

What is not allowed?

These are meant to be happy stories / art involving the Fëanorians. Conflicts should be readily resolved, and if there are complicated events happening, the Fëanorians in the story / art should be focusing on the positive aspects. 

- No angst (except minor); - No tears (except trivial, for instance, young Curufin stubbing a toe, crying, and then being comforted by Fëanor) or of course tears of joy or happiness; - No apologies (none of those stories where a Fëanorian is reborn and goes around apologising to everyone); - No death (please do not kill off Fëanorians, canon or otherwise; others you may treat as you please); - No infighting between Fëanorians; - No wandering forever (canon diverge the hell outta that shit); - No pain (except trivial and passing, such as a Fëanorian receiving a minor wound in an otherwise victorious battle); - No extreme violence (nothing beyond canon-typical, please; battles are cool, graphic vivisection not so much); - No torture (goes without saying); - No tragedy. 

If you are unsure about something you’re planning as a prompt response, just ask and we’ll be happy to clarify. If you’re working toward a happy ending, a few minor bumps in the road are fine, but if your story is all about a terrible happening in a Fëanorian’s life, it’s probably not right for this event. 

What kinds of stories / art are allowed?

Stories must have at least 100 words (true drabbles) to qualify. Art should be at least a sketch. Stick figures don’t qualify (unless you are using them as part of a comic strip). We also welcome fanmixes (at least two graphics & eight songs), moodboards (at least six graphics), and podfic (with permission of the original writer, or of your own work only). 

When it comes to relationships, we are good with anything! Fancy writing about gen family and friends interactions? We give a double thumbs-up to that! In the mood for asexual relationships? Awesome. Wanna write kinky aromantic smut? Yes please! Het? All good. Slash? Hell yeah. Polyamory? We’re totally into that. Incest? No problem. No holds barred orgy? Lead us to it! 

Where can we post the fics / art?

Our AO3 Collection is here: Fëanorian Fun Bingo. It will open on July 7th. As you will be making multiple posts, consider putting them all into a series, particularly if you’re wanting to shoot for the Most Productive prizes.  For Tumblr, please use the tag #feanorianfunbingo.  Also consider keeping a master post of your own and updating it when you post a new item. That’ll make it easy for you to see your progress toward bingo or blackout. 

What do we do if we think we are first to get to bingo or if we get to blackout? 

Send us a non-anonymous ask containing the word BINGO or BLACKOUT. 

All blackout cards will get prizes, but bingo applies to the first one to get bingo. So even if you miss bingo, it’s worth carrying on. 

Anything else? 

This is an event for everyone who’s ever thought: I love the Fëanorians and I want them to be happy! 

No angst. No tears. No apologies. No death. No wandering forever. No pain. No extreme violence. No tragedy. No torture.

In Fëanorian Fun Bingo, you’ll be given your own 4x4 bingo card with 16 exciting and fun prompts. You can fulfil them in whatever way you choose -- with fanfic (100 words or more), fanart of any kind, fanmixes, or any other kind of media you like.
