the last twenty-four hours had been something short of a whirlwind for eli, and bea really wasn’t making any of it better. “way too soon, bea.” he rolled his eyes, stuffing his hands in his pocket. “i’m a fucking idiot, i thought i was covered. clearly wasn’t.”

     winnie let out a slight gasp,  “you know, here i was thinking you would actually bring up something of NOTE or IMPORTANCE.”  she shifted in her seat slightly and cringed at the thought of herself in a club,  “okay,  i get that i’m a little STIFF,  but a club ?  can’t we take baby steps first ?”  she always tried to be a rational person and the club didn’t seem to be the place where she would make the best decisions or encounter people who WOULD make the best decisions.

“  winnie, listen.  ”  if you knew bea, you would know she never kept a straight face. she was always displaying some type of emotion, but this was different. this was a serious talk to her, and she wanted to treat it as much.  “  i hate to ask but this is really serious... why don’t you ever go out to the club with me ?  ”

          SHE  OPENS  THE  DOOR  to  her  neighbor,  a  pleasant  surprise  though  she  is  a  woman  tamsin  knows  very  little  of.  they  mostly  see  each  other  in  passing,  cordial  conversations  and  kind  words  shared  every  now  and  then.  still,  tam  beams  gently.  «  uuuh,  i’ll  think  about  it,  »  she  replies,  but  her  smile  gives  her  away  easily  as  she  makes  way  for  the  other  to  enter.  «  step  on  in,  neighbor.  what  happened  ?  you  locked  out  ?  »

bea couldn’t lie, after all the moments these two had shared together no matter how long ago, she couldn’t help but feel a warm feeling spread throughout her body when she saw the other. nikita had been a safe place for bea for so long, almost like a home to her. it was kinda of like bea was back in high school whenever she saw nikita. the warm feeling soon went away and was replaced with excitement as she ran up to the other, engulfing them in a bear hug.  “  niki ! i feel like i haven’t seen you in so long.  ”

“  soooooo..  ”  bea trailed off, eyes moving to look at elijah.  “  remind me to take every precaution next time we have sex.  ”  she lightly chuckled at the incredibly lame, and probably borderline hurtful joke.  “  too soon ?  ”

this was so stupid. how does someone walk outside to check the mail, forget their door is locked, and not have their keys ? this could only happen to bea.  “  god damn it.  ”  bea cursed, mentally scolding herself for being so irresponsible. bea couldn’t even call the landlord because her phone was inside too. so, she had no other choice then to bother tamsin.  “  hi, care to invite me in ?  ”
