a part of her wants to forget the mistakes she’s made hours prior , all starting with her allowing for a small , orange pill to disintegrate beneath her tongue . arden would blame those around her , use pressure as an excuse for her own hedonism . it’s worked before , she thinks , why not again … told time & time again that she could do no wrong , burdened by the perfectionism her family had painted for her . & for once , it became too much , not just enough . – keys jingle against the lock , hearing a familiar tone of voice almost immediately after she steps inside . even her response is less than receptive . ’ i – ‘ she drawls , head shaking in an attempt at thought . but every bout of coherency , every part of her willing to play their so - called back & forth for even a couple more minutes failed to come forward . her movements are slow , shoulders heavy & chest held within a vice grip of substance , that even the mere reaction to his voice followed moments after he spoke . ’ dean … ’ a groan follows , steps increasing in pace ( or as fast as they would allow her ) until she’s standing before him , gaze clouded . ’ leave . ’
HE COULD HEAR the annoyance that oozed from her tone. although she didn’t try to mask it at all, he would’ve liked to think it was thanks to the MANY years and various ways he’s been able to get to know the girl. but also because of this, he felt that he didn’t even need to look UP to know what sort of expression she had on her face. “ wow, you’re here for just FIVE second and you’re already here trying to kick me out ? ” he faked offence. “ you seem tired ... do you want to just sit here in silence ? ” he knew he was pestering –– but it was sort of what he did best.
