To destroy a curse, cast this spell at midnight. You’ll need a fire in a fireplace, preferably; a cauldron will do. Gather three twigs, one each of oak, pine, and ash. Build a fire, but don’t burn the twigs yet. Gazing at the flames say:

Fire, destroy the curse It’s power I will reverse Twigs of oak, pine, and ash Shall make the curse a thing of the past

lay the twigs upon the flames and listen as they crackle and hiss. say:

wood, burn, to the sender the curse shall return

now angrily spit into the fire three (3) times and saw with all your heart:

sacred wood, consumed by firelight, thank you for your help tonight I thank the guardians of east, west, north, and south may this curse die within the fire’s mouth!

let the ashes cool for seven days then scatter them to the wind

Needed: - Green, red and Black Candles - black thread (I recommend Embroidery floss) - paper - pen - Sigil - fireproof bowl

Steps: - get into a quiet space where you wont be disturbed - Cast a circle around yourself - if you do not intend to use these candles again, carve the sigil into them - wrap the black thread around the candles in tight, secure X’s.  - set them around your fire proof bowl from red to green to black and light them.  - draw your sigil on paper and burn It in the bowl.  - hold your hand above the red candle, far enough away that you can not feel the heat and think/ say: “By the light of this candle I am adaptable, and any who come at me with fire will find that I am not flammable.” - Move your hand over the green candle and say/think: “by this candle’s power, I will not tolerate jealousy, nor any kind of devilry” - over the black candle, say/think: “ By this candle’s Fire, I banish negativity and send it all way from me” - Blow out your candles and dispose of any waste.  - live your life with less negativity!

This is neither a curse, nor a hex, as it does not return the pain caused (though it can easily be reformatted to do so), but simply makes the aggressor aware of it. More than that, it is to force them to understand the pain caused. Do not be wary of its simplicity, for its effects are tried and true.

Gather

A large bowl – the darker in color the better **

Water **

(Optional, though highly recommended): a personal affect of your aggressor)

(Optional: a Candle, black or white)

** Alternately, you can replace the bowl and water for a mirror or other scrying surface of your choosing

Instructions

Take with you your items to a dark room. Light the candle (or another dull light source) and pour your water into the bowl. The goal is to arrange it so that you cannot see through the water, but can only see the reflection on its surface.

When you have found the perfect lighting, take the personal affect in your left hand and “find” them in the water. You want to use the affect to attune to their spirit/energy so that you can “see” them. Keep working until you have a definitive link. You will know it when you have it.

Once the link has been made, using your right hand, dip your fingers into the water (hence why the bowl of water is preferred)  – this represents their subconsciousness. Bring forth the incident in which you were wrong and “place alongside” it, your own pain. Not in such a way as to inflict the pain, but to make them aware of your own. If you find it easier, feel free to speak what they have done aloud and the results of their actions. “This is what you have done.”

When you have said your peace and shown them what they need to see, break the link by flicking the water from your fingers onto the surface and releasing the personal affect from your hand. Pour out the water wherever convenient and do with the personal affect whatever you feel is appropriate. There is no need to destroy or get rid of it – in fact, you may wish to hold onto it for any further work.

❁ Begin devoting your time to learning, reading, and writing about your craft.  

❁ Use divination to determine your goals and outcomes for the year. 

❁ Start your seeds inside.

❁ Spoil your houseplants by watering them, fertilizing them, and talking to             them. Add crystals to their pots. 

❁ Spend time outside noticing signs of springs return. 

❁ Change your altar to correspond with spring. 

❁ Collect rain water from spring showers.

❁ Collect flower blossoms to dry and press for your spells and grimoire.

❁ Collect spring stream water.

❁ Meditate in the greening grass.

❁ De-clutter your home to bring forth fresh, new energies.

❁ Plant wild flowers for the bees.

■ SUN ECLIPSE TIPS ■

Monday, August 21, we will have the rare Solar Eclipse in the sign of Leo along with the entrance of New Moon, favoring the closing of cycles that last for many years and giving strength to new projects mainly in the financial area, will also help the Work our locks and emotional defects as traumas (since it will occur on the day of the moon).

Eclipse will be visible in the US.

TIPS:

• Make a strong banishment: Use barks of garlic, rue, and rosemary to burn in your cauldron along with everything (everything!) You wish to ban in writing, then blow out the ashes asking for it to reach the sun.

• Wear black and orange clothing.

• Light 3 white candles (for protection), black (for banishment and change), lilac (to celebrate New Moon) or oranges (to celebrate the sun and attract prosperity). Choose a color only!

• Place a glass bottle of water and coarse salt under the sky and consecrate it to Eclipse. Use this water when you need to radically change a situation or open paths.

I like to think of a solar eclipse as a supercharged version of the new moon! Like the usual energies and intents present in a new moon are being given a mega kick by the sun’s energy.

For that reason, I like to think of the following as great magical intents to focus on during this event:

Rebirths, renewals

Discard the old which no longer serves a purpose and start on new beginnings

Cleansing the shit out of myself, my house, my crystals, CLEANSE IT ALL

Inner workings, quieting the mind/spirit, connecting with your subconscious

Psychism, divination, development of intuition

These are my personal associations, so do what feels right for you! Here are some suggestions of awesome ways to celebrate and use the energy:

Meditate on any of the mentioned intents! Your subconscious mind and magical core will likely be more open than usual

Set crystals out in the light of the eclipse to cleanse and charge with this renewal of energy! (Not all crystals like to be in direct sunlight, but all should be fine to sit in the shade outside and still feel the effects)

*Safely* burn a list of habits/thoughts/whatever might be holding you back or not serving your intentions. The eclipse will help them burn away to allow better things to come from the ashes! (I’m especially thinking of the upcoming school year and my awful habit of procrastination lol)

Treat your divinatory tools right!! I, for one, am HYPE to be able to cleanse/charge my tarot deck with such potent psychic energy, which will be a huge help to getting more intuitive readings!
