After reading the "Bren Rides on Trains" books (from CJ Cherryh's Foreigner series), I wanted to make a subway-type map of the Atevi rail system. Based on this (very necessary and very good) map of the Atevi Earth.

As the train trundled past Targai through the Talidi Province, Tano talked as he transported the tea. “If Lord Tiajo should reach the Township of Talidi, the treasonous Shadow Guild will threaten us all — from Tanaja in the Tanji District of the Taisigin, to the Tribal Peoples, all the way to Taiben and Tirimandi.” 

The erstwhile translator took more tea. Not since the Troubles had the threat to Tabini been so tangible.

“Lord Tatiseigi will alert the Taibeni, and Tabini-aiji will rally the tashrid. Under the Treaty, President Tyers cannot intervene. But Toby could tail Tojai and tell us where she terminates her treacherous trip.”

Updated routes!

Visitor and Convergence were both running rather expensive for the mass market paperback editions, much more than the hardback price. Then I found (via Abebooks, which I haven't been using because Amazon) two MMP editions for a good price from a UK bookshop. Even with the shipping it worked out cheaper.

Then they arrived. Both in hardback!

The bookseller did the right thing by me, but still I don't have the books. In paperback, at least. And I MUST have them all match. You understand, right?

So I'm like, whatever, I'm going to just spend the $30 for a paperback of Visitor, and also pick up a paperback copy of Convergence through Thriftbooks.

Visitor arrives. Yay! And then Convergence arrives.... in hardback. Again.
