Fangs' Oblivion

I was working on coming up with a food-related insult (specifically culinary and not just food) for a fanfic and came up with 'Well, you're about as useful as a jar of pig's blood in modern day America' and I don't think I ever realized just how insulting that can be. (Specifically in the United States)

Has anyone else in the fanfic author community ever go all out to create a whole playlist and socials to use as a promo/immersion thing for their fics? Genuinely curious because I'm wondering if I did too much. I do enjoy having these little socials as a side project though.

I had the temptation to cut my half of the pizza into only two slices just so that I could say that I only ate two slices and have it be true. But saying that I didn't eat half of the pizza would be a lie. The only reason I would even say that is in hopes that someone would ask me what kind of pizza place cuts pizza like that just so that I could say the stupidest punchline I have. It's not delivery, it's DiGiorno.

Sometimes, just sometimes, I have to remember that I am the only person who posted a crossover fic with both NCIS and Bungou Stray Dogs on AO3 and that makes me feel like a god in ways. And that usually leads to me hitting my arm on something or stubbing my toe, thus reminding me that I am, in fact, entirely mortal

Just looked up the distance from where I used to live to where I now live and- What do you mean I moved over 2,000 miles away?!

BSD isn't really a game of chess. That's just between Fyodor and Dazai. The game is actually Go which is another strategy game, but it's about claiming more territory and keeping others from doing the same. That's what everyone seems to be trying to do with the Book and the Gifted Business Permits and other things. It's still got the theme of 'light vs dark' because the stones are black and white like the standard chess pieces normally are. Francis tried to gain a solid footing by attempting to buy the permit off of Fukuzawa. The Mafia already has a ton of territory that they constantly work to protect like one would do in Go, even thinking ahead as well. Also, it's stated in the light novel Dazai Osamu's Entrance Exam that Fukuzawa and Kunikida occasionally play Go in a small tatami room after work and that despite being calculating, Kunikida has a hard time beating Fukuzawa, showing that the man is proficient in the game. If you also look at how a Go board looks, it looks fairly similar to that of a chess board, but with more squares which are smaller. It also looks fairly similar to the backgrounds we see behind the names of the abilities as they are introduced. But this is just merely coincidental of course and fairly half-baked at best. Don't listen to the ramblings of mad man on the internet. I could very well be wrong here.

Why is the line 'A cry that shatters the heavens' so common? I know I've seen it quite a bit in fanfiction. But why is it the default? Why not the line 'A cry that shatters the heart of the devil himself'?

I hate my brain sometimes. Because as I was grabbing a Pepsi from the pantry, I realized that it was probably still very evident that I had been crying. I had to think of a way to explain that I had been crying but it wasn't because of a normal reason since I had been reading fanfic. And in a brilliant yet entirely stupid moment, my brain gave me a one line. 'My blorbos are somebody else's whumps' and I just kind of froze in the pantry for a couple of seconds while I processed how I would even explain those terms to family who aren't online like I am. This was all hinged on whether anyone asked if I was okay or not because it was still rather evident that I had been crying btw.
