Fandom-Related Shower Thoughts

Not saying this means anything other than The Good Wife fans should watch-if-they-haven't (and save-if/once-they-have) Brilliant Minds and Brilliant Minds fans while keeping up the fight could get into The Good Wife as a way to distract themselves from Brilliant Minds's absence in their lives (as even if we knew we were getting a S3 by now it wouldn't be for months) when they're not actively fighting for it

(and now for some weird reason I'm thinking of a full-on high-fantasy-ish AU for Brilliant Minds and thinking about Charlie's potential future made me think of the character Fjord from the second Critical Role campaign who TL;DR for non-CR-fans iirc starts off the campaign as a warlock and eventually class-changes to paladin midway through and has the kind of arc you'd expect from that class change)

I feel like some significant level of team-up/shared-screentime might be coming for Morgan and Oz in S3 in perhaps a sense that could even potentially shiptease regardless of if anything goes anywhere off the tease because if you don't count Ludo this episode reminded me that Oz seems the sole exception to how single men in Morgan's orbit for any extended period seem to fall for her at, like, reverse-harem-anime rates. That and the one time they were sent to work part of a case together the narrative focused on another part of the case so their team-up happened offscreen (iirc them catching the car thief or something in "In The Driver's Seat") so maybe the writers/the narrative would want to give us a Morgan/Oz team-up we actually see

just because of the trust thing revealed later in the season doesn't wipe away any potential for Wagdec (even in the future as I feel he's gonna make it, god, imagine if that happened soon after he got back to work after what recovering from his injuries that needs to be done is done and even more for Morgan to process emotionally meanwhile both guys have broken hearts needing healing) as if the hyperfocus on Karadec was a trust/morality thing he would have said something to someone else or at least connected more to the internal affairs stuff around him instead of (even if only initially) appearing to only think Morgan was the liability. And then there's how Karadec behaves around him with the "sir"s and all that.

Between his first scene with Morgan at the end of "Behind The Music" with the quote from that Peckinpah movie and "Chasing Ghosts" having both the reveal of Ingrid the dog and Wagner say he was a fan of the movies that Dash and Maddy (the old movie stars at the center of the case) made together, dude clearly seems to be enough of a film nerd that I'm surprised that hasn't made it into more (esp.-ship-related) fics about him (and both times I saw Ingrid (as when we saw her in the flesh in "Second Sunday" I forgot he already brought her up in "Chasing Ghosts") I hypothesized the name's probably after Ingrid Bergman)

Even if it'd have to be some kind of long-distance-occasionally-seeing-each-other-in-person thing like Fargo from Eureka and Claudia from Warehouse 13 (but hey in our 2026 we have Zoom) with the shows being set in two different states, since a lot of fans seem to perceive if not everyone at least so many The Pitt characters as bisexual I'm surprised there isn't more polyshipping, what if what people on Tumblr are fans of both tried to hook more The Pitt fans into Brilliant Minds through crossover shipping in fanfics. As I feel like (even if, as I said, they'd have to make it work long-distance most of the time) there's some one-from-each-show pairings (and I don't necessarily mean ones people might perceive as each other's counterparts) that might work together it's just a matter of okay which ones wouldn't actively make each other worse (or at least would make each other worse in a way that would be entertaining to read)

What those deviations of flashforwards from present mean for the brother theory in the event *knocks on wood with crossed fingers* the show goes on is they show discrepancies that, since one of them happened in a place where Wolf wasn't at the time, mean it wasn't just us seeing the flashforwards through the eyes of his unreliable-narrator ass like the thing in S1's flashbacks with the survivor fern in S1E3 and if you knit all those scenes together you'll probably get something close to the-truth-as-much-as-one-can-call-something-the-truth-about-fiction. Now the question is if he's still implied to have used the nickname in canon then-present but we just didn't see it or w/e, if Charlie is indeed a half-brother but it's from Noah's side, unless his digging up dirt on Wolf got to creepy levels, how the hell would he have heard Muriel use that nickname talking to Wolf?

Idr which episode this was or even if that was S1 or S2 but if I'm remembering this situation correctly (if I'm not, I apologize) what the heck did she think was going to happen to official department computers when she just plugged in a metaphorically-random flash drive found at a crime scene?

To truly parallel ensemble-to-ensemble we'd need at minimum High Potential to add another pair of junior detectives but at the very least even if it's just inspiring fanfic plot-bunnies based on cross-applying arcs or something with these particular trios being comparable there could be something here

Whatever happens to Brilliant Minds, if Zachary Quinto has the time either way to guest star on an episode of Elsbeth (as if god forbid we can't save Brilliant Minds Zachary Quinto being Zachary Quinto could just get a new gig right away), I'd want him to but not as a murderer-of-the-week (as Ioan Gruffudd is the show's best example of how The Big Guest Star doesn't have to be that). Specifically I'd want an episode where some aspect of the murder-of-the-week leads Elsbeth to visit Marissa at Gracie Mansion in-whatever-role-she's-now-doing-for-now-mayor-Alec-Bloom and Zachary Quinto's character was a coworker of hers (as I loved Zachary Quinto and Sarah Steele's chemistry at the beginning of S2B, we need a taste of more when her character's actually fucking real but maybe they throw in a little reference to what depth we got on Sofia when we were being led to believe she was real by giving Marissa one of the interests that Sofia was said to have that'd be in character for Marissa too (unlikely-but-possible she'd share the chemistry thing but maybe she's also, like, a writer or a "plant mom" or a party girl or a fan of certain recreational substances)) and maybe how they're connected to the case is the victim worked for Mayor Bloom too and Elsbeth needs their help not just for background yada-yada on the victim that might tell if this was something personal or not but also to figure out if the murderer might have some sort of political motive and want to indirectly hurt the mayor via his staff and therefore if Marissa or Quinto's-hypothetical-character could potentially be next in the killer's crosshairs
