one moment that i thought was such a good addition from when i watched a bootleg of the donmar production is when gabe is mocking doctor madden's suggestion of hypnosis by laughing and tauntingly walking down the stairs. but when it actually starts to work, gabe falls back into the shadows after stepping into the lighted part of the stage, which almost seems to represent dianas mind. then the camera cuts to gabe and he looks fucking devastated and scared and in tears at the prospect that she might be trying to get rid of him. he falls on the floor when dan tries to tell diana that he's not here and starts crawling around, showing how he still has that needy immature mentality of a toddler even though he is shown to be older. then he starts to beg diana to not let him go by attaching himself to her legs wanting to be held. his little "mom?" at the end when doctor madden suggests to diana that she should clear out his things and him looking lost in the dark while everyone starts to clear out the bottom stage fucking pulls on my heartstrings. this entire scene is so heartbreaking.
