Cast & Crew Call - Family Matters (A Short Film) Production/Film Title: Family Matters Studio/Independent/Student: Independent Union/Non-Union: SAG-AFTRA(Papers Pending) / NON-UNION Project Type: Short Film Project Format: HD Production Location: Shreveport, Louisiana Production Start Date: 1 weekend in the Month of June. TBD Production Wrap Date: Weekend of June 30th, 2013 at the latest TBD Shooting Schedule: 2-3 days Synopsis: A picture is worth a thousand tears. After the tragic death of their parents, Connor – an 18 year old college student – raises Duncan – his younger special needs brother—himself until one day Child Protective Services deems him an unfit guardian. Connor fights to regain custody of his brother and prove that, despite his sexual orientation, only “Family Matters”. Character Breakdowns: This film will be shot under the SAG Short Film Agreement Connor:  Lead Male 18-25 Caucasian (can play 18-20) Tall (5’11 – 6’2), Athletic, All-American Look. Was offered college scholarships his senior year old high school, but turned them all down to take care of his brother. Jacob:    Lead Male  18-25  , (can play 18-20) (5’8 - 6’0) Skinny-Average Connor’s friendly easy going boyfriend. Katelyn:  Supporting Female (22-30) (5’2-5’8) Pretty Social worker whom supports the equal rights movement and is on Connor’s side. The first round of auditions will be held via video audition.
