"Silver?" Espio lightly moved his hand. "Are you listening?"
Silver lowered the camera, the look in his eyes still seeming so far away-like his gaze was directed at something that wasn't even there.
Espio's own gaze hardened for a moment, and in a swift motion, he snatched away the camera from Silver's hand, garnering his attention for the moment. His eyes shut as the flash suddenly brightened up his face, and he turned his head away from the shock.
Espio watched as the photograph slid out from the bottom of the camera and took it out, giving it a few moments to develop.
Again, neither of them said anything, even as Silver stared him on in confusion, their hands separated.
He flipped the camera around and snapped a photo of himself, now, still holding the one of Silver between his fingers, his own eyes closing after the flash went off.
He waited, and then removed the photo, holding it out towards the other boy, whose gaze was now directed at it— something that was there.
"There." Espio said, wagging the photo a bit as he waited for Silver to take it.
"..What?" Silver questioned, his hands wearily reaching for it.
"This is what I want you to remember me as." Espio held it closer to him. "Not dead, not hurt. This is me now. ——
